Copenhagen is an expensive city and it's very tempting to stay in the cheapest place you can find. Spend the money and get somewhere nice! The positives: location is good, you can walk into the center of copenhagen in 15 minutes. The wifi is free. The staff were helpful. Now the negatives. The bedding is not included - not even...

It is the cheapest place in Copenhage, and good localitation, but it is dirty, beds are horrible, you couldn't sleep without pain on your back. The staff is nice. If you find better place to stay, don't think about this hostel

We liked the hostel, it was spacious with good common and kitchen facilities. the room was a little hot but it was midsummer. You have to pay to rent the bedding, but even so it's one of the cheapest places to stay in this expensive city, and good value we thought. There is a lovely grassed section out the front...

I was unpleasantly surprised by the fact that they didn't provide a pillow unless you opted to rent the whole bed bundle which comes at 60 dkk. Aside from that, the place was OK. The room was actually a little too hot and noisy, but the price was very good for Copenhagen in this time of the year. Also, there's...

Great hostel full of friendly people! The only drawback was that pillows were not provided and, unfortunately, renting them would have been disproportionately expensive compared to the overall price. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

This I must say is the most horrible stay I've ever had. To get my point across I'll make a list: 1. When I arrived there was a change in shifts at the reseption. This for some weird reason meant that I had to wait for check in for about 20 minutes (thats not so bad, but still kind of...

I stayed in the 66 bed dorm for one night. It was clean and quiet, but very few amenities - sheets, towels, and locks cost extra, and there are few bathrooms and showers, and they are not connected to the room (women's showers are on a different floor). English-friendly staff and great location (10 minute walk from the city center),...

Copenhaguen was our first stop on our Eurotrip and it started really well at City Public Hostel. The people at check in are really nice, helpful and funny. They let us drink some beers with people from outside the hostel in the facilities. We slept in the 66-beds dorm, which wasn't as bad as the reviews here say. The room...

The hostel was not the best or not the worst for me as a long term traveller, it was not cheap but I was expecting to pay more than other places because of Danish prices. Not close to the city centre but it was not the difficult place to go around, the security was not tight and not the best.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
