I recently stayed at this place and I still don’t know how to value it. It is true that for Copenhagen standards, the price they offer is very interesting. In my case I booked a single room which was small (ca. 3.5x2.5 m) but spacious and pleasant enough for 1 person. I liked the view out of the window to...

location superb, a shot away from the metro and train station (whether you're travelling locally or to sweden). short stroll away from all the major sights and the old town centre. conveniently located 7/11 right around the corner if you get hungry after 6pm when most of the shops close ( boo copenhagen!), also a hot dog place very close...

Good solution for a young couple searching for a bed & breakfast in the city centre without spending too much!! Gay friendly as well as almost every place in Copenhagen. pros: price, position, breakfast (buffet with marmelades and chocolate, milk, the, hot slices of bread, biscuits, orange juice), silence, staff politeness, comfortable bed, wi-fi connection free (hard to find in...

My friend and I were in Copenhagen for one night after our Royal Caribbean cruise. All the hotels in the city were extremely expensive (300 plus) and we found this hotel for a reasonable price. We were a bit scared by the shared bathroom and shower idea, but it ended up not being a bother at all. The room was...

The Hotel is close to the Stroget - the main shopping street and not too far from the Gay scene. The innkeeper Per is attentive and friendly. I had booked a double room, asking for a quiet room. Unfortunately, there is a bar at the street level that is noisy and goes nonstop from midnight until 8 in the morning....

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is nothing like you image, if you see the website. It is just a poor backpackershotel. Our room was the most expensive, but very small. There was a separate toilet, with little room to move. But that was so much better yet than the showers. Mind you: two showers...

Tiny, grubby, poorly-designed rooms, with tired, grimy carpets, and shoddy interiors. After 4pm there are zero hotel amenities, except for one pay phone. The breakfasts and dining room are fine, standard fare, but they don't reflect the accomodations. The staff was helpful and friendly, however.

i had booked this hotel BEFORE i read some of the reviews, which were quiet bad - so i went in expecting the worst. fortunately, my experience was very positive! the hotel is very easy to find - there is a huge "hotel" sign above it - and extremely well located - only a 5minute walk from Norrport station (which...

First, the bad news: Because the reception at Hotel Windsor is only open until 4pm, those guests arrriving after that time are directed to pick up their keys at the neighboring sister Hotel Joergensen. After retrieving my keys, I crossed the square to the Hotel Windsor and was alarmed to see a windowless door covered with graffitti. My key opened...

I had a great time staying at the Windsor. The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple and clean. There was plenty of good food for breakfast. Met some other gay travellers from other countries in Europe and enjoyed their company very much. Never had to wait for a shower. And, best of all,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
