Very friendly staff, interesting & well designed building. Breakfast was great, mostly organic with huge selection of fruit. Breakfast was in the Salt restaurant, which looked lovely at night, but a bit too fancy for just a family meal. . NB - the minibar automatically registers what you have had, as the children picked up & looked at everything it...

We visited Copenhagen for 2 nights. The hotel was 5 star. Everything was fab. The setting and location was stunning. 100 yards from the Royal residence. 5 minutes walk from shops. 15 minutes walk to the Little mermaid. The only criticism would be, could there be a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Looking forward to visiting again.

Rooms are badly isolated so you can here the neighbors having there romantic getaway. Breakfast has a big variety of food. Salt needs to find something different then the...

Lovely hotel by the harbor conveniently situated for many of Copenhagen's delights. Full of character (beams, model ships, artifacts) and a lovely atmosphere. Service excellent. Good bar too :) Unlikely to disappoint . . . . .

We booked a long weekend in Copenhagen and stayed in this well located hotel to enjoy the City. We were made welcome from when we arrived and shortly after we settled into our room a bottle of bubbly arrived as one of us was celebrating a birthday. The rooms are comfortable and if a reasonable size - you also get...

Fairly central location. Great views of the water. Very trendy bar. Rooms a good size with quirks showing the original warehouse origins. Good service at the receptipn desk. Breakfast was your standard buffet. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and shower worked well. Hotel was warm but not hot which was appreciated given how cold it was outside. It was fairly...

My husband booked this hotel as a birthday weekend treat. We are currently staying here and it's beautiful! Perfect location for a lot of tourist destinations and really comfortable rooms. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Great cocktails at the bar and the food (although we haven't eaten here) looks very good!

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
