This is a perfect stay when travelling with dogs. Ask for a room with a direct entry to the garden and the nice surroundings and you have chance to a very convenient stay (as we had). It was very easy to unload our car just...More

The (Dutch) hosts at StaySail were really friendly and got out of their way to make their guests feel at home. We also liked the atmosphere and architecture of the whole place which shows in every detail the enthusiasm and dedication of its owners. We...More

We are considering a reservation in this highly rated and lovely B&B this summer. However, being from the US, and coming off a two week travel with a tour company prior to our stay here, we have been suggested to not bring a lot of local currency as we will be visiting 3 countries and each use a different one. At the end of our trip, we'd like to extend our stay in Denmark and rent a car to further explore the countryside or 4 days. If I read the website correctly, for dining as well as room reservations, this location only accepts the Danish form of money. We can get some out of ATM's, but are limited as to how much a day without a charge, and were hoping to be able to use our credit card for all but incidentals. Any help would be greatly appreciated, if I mis read something here. Thank you.

Hello Sue. Yes, you are right. Staysail only accepted Danish kroner when we were there. I understand that is because using credit facilities costs them a lot of money to set up and use. However, we were in Denmark for six days and used our credit card in most places, including Rosskilde, Helsingor and the Louisianna Art Museum. There were a few small cafes which did not accept credit but most restaurants did. I am sorry, but I cannot really make a suggestions as to how much money you should take out. Apart from Staysail though, you will really only need it for incidentals.
