Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is a beauty on the outside and in a very good location. To my disappointment the room was not satisfactory. I think anyone that walks in to a bedroom with stain carpets and cigarette burns in most areas feel let down. The hotel itself was very nice and the breakfast and the staff.

Room Tip: Do not choose a without a view as the back view is awful and noisy with some other buildings.

My husband and I spent ten wonderful days in this hotel at the beginning of August.

The hotel is in a great location, and a large and free parking lot is right across the street. Volos Palace is within walking distance of the main streets, shopping area, numerous restaurants and promenades by the sea.

We had a spacious, beautiful and comfortable room on the fifth floor. We especially enjoyed the large terrace with a direct view of the harbor and the sea. The room was excellent and maintained daily, the air conditioner worked flawlessly.

The breakfast was varied and everything was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly.

I would especially like to highlight the receptionists who were always ready to help us and answer all our questions (mostly beaches, restaurants, things to visit in Volos and the surrounding area, etc.).

We are planning to stay at the Volos Palace Hotel next year as well.
All recommendations!

For a brief one night stay on the way home from Greece it worked well. It's a predictably good modern 21stC hotel overlooking a small park and the port. Decently sized rooms with comfy beds, a chair or two, functional a/c and a bathroom with a (stumpy) bath.
The b+b breakfast was good and the place is within easy walking distance of a bunch of small traditional restaurants. Free car parking is available directly across the street.
Although we were probably unlucky, the open air theatre next door held a gathering that ran on well beyond midnight. No problem for me but lighter sleepers might have struggled.

The AC was not working in our room, we had to sleep with the window open and was took noise.
also I asked in reception if they have latose free milk or soya milk for breakfast for people that they can't consume dairy products and they don't have does, so if a customer Wil be in this hotel be aware they don't have these options.
It's the first hotel in Greece that I have been and they are not prepared for this requests that now a days are common.

I stayed in the hotel twice during 2022 and both times my experience was very nice. The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the harbour and the city's main attractions. The views from the rooms are excellent and the suites worth the extra money. Both times the rooms were very clean with nice furniture and decoration. Nice breakfast and dinner and helpful staff. I will definetely return.

Excellent service, very kind staff. Quick response to all requests. Nice breakfast buffet with fresh cold cuts. We requested for a baby cot and even if it was 7 in the afternoon they brought us one immediately. A friendly environment for families with babies.

Haveing stayed here a couple time i find the hotel, is allways clean.
But first time i booked a room with city view that being at the back off the hotel
room i feel needed a little more cleaning the smaller details, the linen was clean tho.
Being at back off the hotel it over looks apartments and some one had a dog, witch left out most off the time was barking so it was not quiet at all.
I would recommend now try book a room at the frount off the hotel.
The corridors in the hotel are in need off some TLC. But it clean.

Well located to town, supermarket, waterfront and restaurants.
Good bar range and well priced.
Rooms are spacious in both bedroom and bathroom, and reasonably quiet.
O LY challenge during our visit of 3 nights is the air conditioning is under repair across the rooms but it wasn’t extreme temperatures outside and the balcony door open was fine.
No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
Breakfast was a great choice and spread.
Also the staff were excellent in their engagement and service. Really seemed to enjoy assisting.

There is no possibility to eat something at the hotel at 20:50!!! And when we ordered they took us out! They didn't let us eat in the living room! Disgrace. They falsely state that room service is until 02:00. Let Airbnb do it since they don't have the services.

No direct flights from the UK to Volos although in 2018 EasyJet flew from Gatwick in July & August only and may repeat in 2019. Best option is to fly Thessaloniki and take the coach or the train to Volos. Both take about 2.5 hours but the train involves a change at Larissa. We always use the KTEL Coach as it's cheap, comfortable and reliable. But, if you've only got four days, stay in Thessaloniki which will reward exploring.
