The staff was amazing, very friendly. The breakfast left nothing to be desired from - apart from standard stuff like scrambled eggs, there was fresh vegetables, fruit, different sweets and cakes. We could also leave the car just in front of the hotel. Also there was no problem to check-out late. One thing I was impressed with is that the hotel stuff is taking care of a small street dog. I admire this kind of charitable actions. This being said, the hotel needs refreshing, the furniture is a bit shabby.

The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the center of Larissa, either for work or tourism.
The hotel is not a new one and it needs improvements. On the other hand, dut to it's low prices and in case you need a clean room just to have a shower and relax by the end of a tiring day, it is a very good solution.
The breakfast is also very good with a grate variety of goods and you can have it by the very αtmospheric sitting room.
The receptionists are also very kind.

We stayed there for 2 days on a business trip to Larisa. The room was great, the hotel is in the heart of town and near to everything! The breakfast is a bit poor but ok. Stuff very friendly, clean rooms but probably a bit out-of-fashion decoration. We would definitely reccomend it though!

I didn’t expect to find such a hotel, while I was going up from the railway station. After a street of rather unattractive buildings, you find another rather unattractive building of the hotel, but when you walk inside, well, it’s almost a palace! Reception is decorated more or less moderately, but then you get into the old beautiful elevator, see the high halls, and, finally get into the room. Our room was very spacious, and full of velvet! Curtains on the windows, curtain that separates a sleeping area from a living area, drapings on the walls, you name it! The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was very good, the location is good as well. All in all, this hotel really made our visit to Larissa a gem.

Together with friends we stayed almost 2 weeks in Larissa at the Helena. Ideally located in town centre - as this is definitely a place were one walks everywhere. Although the Helena could do with a complete upgrade tans modernisation (as the bones of the place are strong and still exude its past charm and glory) anyway it is so reasonably priced and what it lacks in upgrade it makes up tenfold in other ways - charming staff throughout hotel - helpful, always there to assist and with big smiles. as for the breakfast spread every morning - it cannot be beat . Owner KYRIAKIDIS Maro and family are incredible cooks and she really showcases her culinary skills to please her guests Trays of so many varieties of pitted, zucchini, eggplant, cheese, frittatas, crusty breads, and of course the normal breakfast fare - eggs, bacon other meats, She even made two different types of trahana - plain and with lamb one morning, let alone the pastitsio, stuffed summer vegetables and much more. Also not to dissapoint there were endless trays of cakes, fresh fruit and juices, beautiful thick creamy strained yogurt and much more. This woman it a gem. My very favourite cake was the watermelon cake - moist, not overly sweet - just delicious. Breakfast is just room is just off the foyer and was full with people every day
The old faithful dog always there in the doorway to greet everyday
I would not for one minute hesitate to recommend the Helena to anyone who wishes to visit Larissa - fond memories
Larissa a good place to stay - busy, young and vibrant with fantastic shopping and dining and lots of cultural happenings. Also only 1 he from Meteora and about the same from Thessaloniki
