Hotel Kastro has been the first hotel that I stayed at in Ioannina, and I never wanted to stay anywhere else. There simply can be no better place! The wonderful old house in the historic Kastro Quarter next to the Its Kale, Ioannina's most beautiful spot, the warm hospitality of the managers, beautifully furnished spacious rooms, great breakfast, the quiet,...

Great little boutique hotel right in the middle of the Citadel (ie within the old City Walls). Only a 5 minute walk to loads of restaurants, boats to Nissi Island. The hotel has been completely renovated (probably just as well, as we experienced several earth tremors (after 5.5 earthquake!). Friendly and helpful staff. Very well appointed and beautifully decorated /...

The location was perfect within the old walled city - although driving through the narrow streets was quite hairy! The owner met us and was especially helpful, showing us where to go to visit local sites (the newly opened Silver Museum was excellent and not more than 5 minutes walk away) and advising us of restaurants. The room was spotless...

My husband and I stayed one night in Ioannina, exploring Ali Pasha's past. We loved Hotel Kastro - a perfect location, clean, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast. It was pouring rain the whole time so we didn't enjoy the surroundings as much as we would have liked, but the hotel was perfect.

A Traditional guesthouse with a modern touch located inside the castle area. Great rooms with beautiful furniture and extra comfy beds. Especially recommended during colder months or Christmas...there's a fireplace in the breakfast area and the rooms are warm throughout the day.
