We had a minor mix-up with our booking at an other hotel who kindly pointed us toward the Pegasus. It was our last night in Crete and we traditionally stay in Rethymnon. Great communication, excellent room and facilities - rooms cleaned and towels changed regularly, breakfast available although we had a kitchenette so sorted ourselves out, snacks available throughout the day - delicious ice-creams - great position for the beach and the old town - highly recommended.

Called in for lunch of the beach. Didn't check the reviews on here. Place looked clean and seemed ok. Service was ok but the food was poor and the wine was even worse Had a salad and a sandwich and not great and the wine was hideous.

We discovered Pegasus way too late into our holiday but if you want excellent, traditionally Greek food ( or indeed any other cuisine) this is the place to go. The last night of our holiday we misjudged the time to eat and ended up here after they'd stopped serving, the son of the proprietor was eating is own well deserved...

We booked the hotel for July back in January. We were told 2 weeks before departure that they has overbooked. This is totally unacceptable. We had the choice of lots of properties when we originally booked, but minimal when we had to seek alternative accommodation, at a greater cost. The management of this hotel obviously cannot be trusted. I advise...
