We visited the Halepa hotel after a long time again. The property has now been partially upgraded. Some rooms have been refurbished to a more modern touch, there is a fully functional Gym and a sauna, even an electric car charging station. The roof garden is being used as a relaxation area with a whirlpool. All in all, the hotel has not lost its touch at all! The friendly staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests, and nothing is too much trouble. For me, the hotel's highlight is its location. It is close enough to walk into Chania center, and away from all the noise of the city. The area is full of old charming houses, and in close proximity you will find the house of one of Greece's most longstanding politicians, Eleftherios Venizelos. We definitely will visit again!…
Halepa must be my favourite holiday hotel. The rooms are comfortable and in good working order, the breakfasts are more than adequate but the staff are some of the friendliest and most obliging I have come across. They determine the welcoming tone of the hotel where nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are beautifully maintained and provide a romantic setting for a late night drink after returning from one of the town's excellent tavernas The hotel is about a twenty minute walk from the town centre and, as a result, is quiet in the evenings. To date I have stayed there on three different occasions and I hope to be returning again.
We had the most wonderful stay and the Halepa Hotel. We arrived by car and were able to conveniently park in their gated lot. Yet, in 15 to 20 minutes, we could walk and be in the old town of Chania. This was perfect for us, as we did not have to hassle for parking in the old town, yet could easily access it by foot. And once we walked into Chania, after seeing the crowds of people and cars looking for parking, we were glad we didnt have to drive into it and look for a parking lot and then find our way with luggage to a hotel. Everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful. I am sorry I dont recall all your names, but everyone was courteous, friendly and helpful. Thank you Eleftheria for all your help at check out and for making me breakfast when I could not eat the eggs and cheese presented at the buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel for a clean , comfortable stay. We were in a superior room in the traditional part of the hotel. It was very large and had the type of character we enjoy. Lots of charm and characted , as opposed to a modern, sterile environment. Thank you and we cant wait to return.…
Spent a week here and enjoyed every day. Our room in the old part of the hotel managed to have both character and comfort. Yes, it's a fair step to the centre of town for restaurants but Miaouli isn't too far with its sea front tavernas and cafes. Top marks to the helpful staff. We loved using both the garden and the roof terrace for relaxing. Didn't try the jacuzzi but we did use the hotels car hire and their airport transfer - both good value and very convenient.
Kudos to the staff of this charming hotel, especially to Fotini and Joanna who made our stay very special. They are friendly, smiling, helpful, so welcoming. Each time we returned to the hotel after an outing, they received us so warmly we felt like family. Thank you ladies! And thanks also to the unsung heroes—the cleaning staff. Every where we went in this hotel, it was immaculately clean. Very nice. Breakfast was lovely too. The hotel was a little way out of town, about a half hour walk (for us!) and a warm walk at that. Rooms are compact and the carpets in the hallway are a little worn, but given the staff and the cleanliness, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Appreciated the recommendation to the seafood restaurant on the waterfront nearby
