My friends and I stayed at this property in August and I cannot stop promoting this hotel. Excellent location with magnificent views of the port. Friendliest stay, refurbished rooms and the breakfast options were the best I've had in Greece.

Everything, absolutely everything, about this hotel was without fault... and we are fussy people. Granted, the room was "compact" but it was beautifully formed with a very comfortable bed and well-appointed shower room. The welcome was just great: the receptionist, on taking my passport for check-in details, noticed that it was my birthday and offered us a glass of sparkling...

We stayed three or four times (unfortunately, always for short periods only) in this very nice Hotel, which enjoys a privileged location, on the waterfront of Chania's Old Venetian harbour. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and operates a smoke-free environment on all communal areas, guest rooms and suites. In my opinion, this is a fantastic policy, which should be applied...

We spent 8 days at Porto Veneziano Hotel, the staff are amazing to say the least, Eleni and Katerina that interacted with us in terms of arranging our tours of the various parts of Crete to see are a shining example of what customer sat is all about. We had a room facing the Old Port. Loved waking up to the view and just soaking in the moment. Extremely convenient location. Excellent staff. When we came back to our room at 10pm we had a message waiting that our tour to Knossos the next morning was cancelled. No problem. Even that late at night they helped us find...

We had a one night stay in Chania on our way to Rethymno. We loved the Porto Veneziano location, clean rooms, friendly staff and plentiful breakfast. We did not use the bikes they provided but we plan to when we go back tomorrow. We had a standard room with a balcony but upgraded to a premium suite for our next...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Anniversary trip. They upgraded us to the honeymoon suite, which was a lovely suite with 2 private balconies overlooking the harbor. I watched the sun rise and set from the bigger one. Lovely staff, every comfort taken care of. Would definitely come back!!

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel for a couple of nights to start our holiday in Crete. It is perfectly situated alongside the waterfront in Chania with the opportunity to sit and sip a cocktail and watch the world go by. From the Hotel, it is a short walk to the main part of town and access...

After seeing all the options on the Internet for a 4 night stay in Chania (as part of a 3 week vacation in France and Greece), we decided to stay at the Porto Veneziano. We were completely impressed with this hotel. The front door is only steps away from the hotels's front door. The rooms are a bit smallish (to...

We had a view of a main canal. It was busy but with the window closed no problem. the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was sufficient. We were close to the railway station and the main links to the canal bus. There was a bit of a walk to the main tourist attractions but that was offset...

“If you stay for more nights you'd better ask for a room with a view in the port. For me that I stayed for one night it was not a problem, but I suppose it would be a pity not to have a view if you are on vacations.”
