The Hermes is a charming traditional mountain style hotel in the city of Delphi with view of the olive grove. The hotel has a 24h reception offering warm welcome, with a nice and warm lobby and a small seating area, where you can spend some relaxing time. Good service and a very friendly staff, allowing pets. It was built in 1971 and renovated in 2004. Handsome wood, black wrought iron and sleek dark furnishings contrast with cool white plaster walls.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed here for one night in September 2022 as part of an organised tour.

The hotel is right on the main street, so we had to be quick to unload our bags to not block the main road through the town. Like most of the buildings, it's built into the cliff so you enter off the street and then there are steps down to the rooms. Check in was quick and we were on the floor below the reception.

Our twin room was a good size - some of the fixtures were a little dated but the beds were comfy, the rooms were clean and we had a nice view from our little balcony. The bathroom was compact but the shower was a good size and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

Breakfast had an okay choice of hot and cold options. The view from the breakfast terrace is phenomenal (check out the photo).

It's nearly 12 months since we were here and we had no issues, but more recent reviews suggest something might have happened. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

We stayed a night at The Hermes, Delphi. It is a charming family-runned hotel along the main street of Delphi which has a lot of shops for souvenirs and restaurants. The Hermes itself has a shop within its premises, offering guests a 50% discount on the prices of items. The room was small and furnitures were dated. But the views from the room's balcony were breathtaking! Breakfast provided was simple but adequate to start the day. The owner and his wife were very friendly and hospitable. So were the staff. Recommend to give this hotel a try whenever you are in Delphi.

The Hermes is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel in the heart of Delphi. Our room, a deluxe, panorama view room on the upper floor was basic, but spotlessly clean and gave us a fabulous view of the valley to Itea and the Gulf of Corinth. Staff was very nice, and the breakfast was pretty good, too. A very good value that I recommend.

Our party of 3 booked 2 rooms for 1 night March 21, 2020. Due to the global pandemic we were unable to travel. The Hermes Hotel chose not to refund the non refundable prepayment for our 1 night stay. Out of all the properties that we booked for our 2 week trip to Greece, the Hermes was the only accommodation to refuse to give us a refund. The other properties refunded gracefully despite non refundable terms. Considering that no one was able to travel and the hotel is closed, the Hermes policy is very poor business. We will book our exact trip in the future but we will find a different hotel in Delphi.

Stayed here as part of the Delphi - Meteora 3 day, 2 night trip.
Nice hotel with good location near many shopping areas and restaurants. Free breakfast is provided. There is a small shop attached to the hotel that gives 50% off for guests.
Staff was friendly and helped us arrange a trip to Arachova which is a cute local village nearby

This was a rollorcauster of experience, when I entered the hotel I felt a musty and unpleasant smell and it sent shivers down my body. The room I got wasn't a 100 pointer to be precise, there was water damages in the roof of our room and the extra bed wasn't amazing to say the least. My friend pood in the toilet and the flushing system collapsed. I dont reccomend this, Jippi!

Good hotel located in the center of the village, at a distance from the archaeological site and the museum within walking distance.
Room a bit small, especially the shower which is really narrow.
Pleasant and helpful staff

Ideally-located hotel in the heart of lovely little Delphi. The room is quite small and basic but who cares when you’ve got a nice little balcony with lovely views down the hill to the water. Gorgeous bar just a few metres across the road and lovely shops nearby. Breakfast dining room and terrace has lovely views too. Breakfast not bad.

This was not a joy! The hotel had a musty smell. The staff was not keen to offer any sort of help. The room had an alleged water damage and when we complained they neglected us. There was also problem with the toilet. The breakfast was also boring and stale, I certainly won't come to this shocker of a place.

The hotel Hermes is practically dead center in the town of Delphi, right on the main road in the middle of the shopping area. You can't really walk to the archaeological site but then there aren't any hotels really within walking distance of the site (that I saw). Its about a 10 minute drive though.

The room we stayed in was on the small side, and had a balcony with a view of the surrounding mountains. The beds are small but comfortable, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is not a 5 star hotel, but overall its worth the price, particularly for the location.
