Evalia apts was an excellent accommodation for us as new visitors to Crete. The location was perfect as a quiet place to stay accessible by cab anywhere on the island such as beautiful beaches, quaint villages, and historical sites. Although we have no young children, several guests brought their entire families. The apartment was clean, airy, with gorgeous views of the pool, olive groves, and beyond that- the sea. Eva’s home cooked Cretan meals, and wines can outdo the finest restaurants in Crete. Hospitality was beyond excellent to include recommendations for site seeing and attendance at a Cretan festival complete with dancing lessons. We fell in love with Crete and the hotel and would go back there again if we ever return to Crete.

We visited in September 2021 and immensely enjoyed our personalized experience at the Evalia Apartments. The owner of the hotel is dedicated to making each visit a unique and unforgettable experience for each guest. Thanks to her, we enjoyed daily homemade delicious local cuisine, sightseeing recommendations that gave us the most authentic and historic opportunities to see all that the island had to offer. The hotel offered scenic views of the Aegean sea from almost all locations with a relaxing pool and bar atmosphere that added to the romantic ambiance. We cannot wait to return.

When you stay at Evalias it is like you are staying in Evas home and you are a very welcome guest. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her team. Very impressed and would stay again.
You are slightly out of the way, but only a €8 taxi fare to the centre where there is a lot happening.
The walk to the beach is very nice but takes around 10-15 minutes, the walk back is slightly longer as it is up hill, but still very pleasant.
We didn’t eat here, but the food looked amazing.
It’s a great place to stay and feel at home.

Stayed here as couple in August 2022. This hotel states it is a four star but it is more like a two star. The rooms are dated and the towels on changed three times in two weeks and we had to ask for this. The towels were also stained and threadbare. Bins were not emptied you have to empty them yourself. Our room was not mopped, cleaned or swept in the two weeks. On arrival we had to pay 65 euros for the air conditioning to be cleaned. Pool bar was never open and had to go and ask for drinks. It was very expensive (3.5 euros for a small bottle of beer and cocktails were 9 euros). Eva food menu was expensive (fries were 6 euros) and below par. Not everything is on the menu and it was main season. Pool area was not swept or mopped in the two weeks we stayed. The pool area was full of ants because of the lack of cleanliness. The pool was dirty and swimming with flies and other insects. There are no bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Bus stop is over twenty minutes away and no lit so be careful in the dark with speeding traffic. We found Eva very loud always screaming. She only wanted contact with people that spent money there. The hotel is on a flight path. Aircraft every ten minutes day and night. Eva does not like criticism. I can only say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed.

Found this hotel in the middle of nowhere. Nothing anywhere near. Had to use taxis because I don’t drive. Tried Eva food found it very greasy and overpriced. Bar was never attended to in the day. Nobody showers before getting in pool. The pool was dirty and scum on the edge. Got ant bites. Room was dated. Bed not changed. One towel change. No entertainment. Eva is far too fond of her own voice when wanted a peaceful break.

Apartment hotel with pool very comfortable for a pleasant family stay. The hosts are very welcoming and the rooms clean and well equipped. I strongly advise. Located about half an hour from Iraklion, perfect as a starting point for various excursions.

I booked this place with no big expectations. I wanted something for us in a decent price range. Oh well if I had known what a great experience it was going to be ! We were 3 and I tend to be very very picky when it comes to hotels (mostly on how clean it is).
We arrived earlier than we thought and I was thinking we couldn't get the room yet but it was no problem. The room was ready so Eva welcomed us and even let us choose between two rooms (how sweet ). From the moment we met her we knew the stay was goin to be very enjoyable. She is so far the most welcoming and sweet person we've seen her. She is so genuine ! She even made efforts to communicate with our mother who doesn't speak English. The lady working there was also very sweet (and she makes delicious Frappucinos !). Our only regret is to not have tried eating at the restaurant one night. But we will next time we get to come to Creete because we won't be looking at other hotels, this is the one.
At Evalia everything is made to make you feel as comfortable as you would be at home !

Our first time in Crete and we chose this hotel because of the good score and reviews. Well, all those good reviews are true! Eva is a heartwarming host that helps you out with whatever you need from info to car rental and good places to visit. Yes,it's a bit secluded, but that is also why we chose this place. We had a rental car anyway, but if you don't have a car, there's always taxi or rent a bicycle to get to the city. The food that we had in the hotel was also very good. We had dinner once and we loved it! Breakfast, yes, choices are a bit limited, but hey, for this price you still get enough and I find it it's money's worth. And it's fresh every day! Cleanliness of the room was impeccable! Very well maintained room and very clean 10/10. Negative things? Well, if I really have to name one, if I really have to? Maybe the ac can be included in the room price instead of having to pay extra, but hey it's vacation, I spent more on one lunch then what I spent on the extra cost of the ac.

Very nice and cosy place in Anissaras! Awesome! Everything brand new - in the room, next to pool, in the reception - and for a very good price. Not far away from sea (some 10 min walk) but awesome view to sea side and sunset. It is not really a place for party people but the walk to Hersonissos takes some 30 min. And! - the owners are VERY VERY nice people!

Where else can you eat an authentic Greek meal, make friends from all over the world and then have a Greek dancing and karaoke party? Nowhere! Eva, Harry and Maria are able to make eveyone feel welcome and comfortable. The meals served at Evalia are better than most other places in the area. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. There is a beautiful pool and the beach is within walking distance. If you have any questions about where to go or get the best whatever, Eva knows!
