Superb Hotel with the metro, ferries & airport bus on its doorstep. Lovely new modern rooms with both a kettle & Nespresso machine, plus mini bar & excellent shower/bathroom inc amenities. Very welcoming and helpful staff with a great onsite restaurant - the optional included breakfast is very good value. We stayed 2 nights in rooms with a small balcony & side view of a few ferries, [1 night, either side of a cruise out of Piraeus], with the taxi ride to the cruise terminal a short 10 euro journey [taxi rank right outside the front door too]. Would stay here again anytime.

Location is ideal as overnight transfer hotel to/from airport/port as it is only a few steps from the new Pireaus metro station and within easy walking distance to most island ferries. Room was decent size with small balcony, modern with usb plugs available, small safe and Nespresso machine. Area is safe and loud during day but quiet at night. Many cafes and takeaway close as are Vodaphone stores and markets. Spotless room, bathroom has rain shower and handheld with good pressure, makeup mirror and lots of counter space. Decent, basic amenities available but no body lotion. Buffet breakfast in small restaurant was basic but good and service was outstanding. Excellent coffee! Also offered really good dinner and the white and red local wines they offer are very good. Price for dinner is reasonable and service was good.

Just one night here, before a Silversea cruise. We took the train from the airport, an interesting ride since you saw the backside of Athens as well as glimpses of the Acropolis. The hotel is an easy walk from the station and offered us a friendly welcome. We had pre-booked and pre-paid for one of the top floor suites because I fancied the extra space and a terrace. The room was not a proper suite, with a separate living room; rather a large living space which led around to the bedroom. It was all highly contemporary in decor with some interesting and stylish furniture. The bathroom still looked very new, highly designed yet practical. The large terrace was outstanding . . look to the left and you saw part of the ferry port, look to the right and, guess what, there was the Acropolis, a long way but clearly visible.

We had dinner at their restaurant, Bacaro, and started off by being the only people there. But by 8pm it had completely filled up and had a buzzy atmosphere. A modern menu, nicely cooked and presented food, outstanding value for money at £100 for two including a bottle of wine. Breakfast the next day was only fair.

Lots of taxis always seemed to be outside and we took one to the cruise port. Do be careful here. We told our driver the name of our ship, he said OK, drove us to the furthest of the three terminals even though we passed our ship on the way. He dumped us, pointed at our ship, we paid, he drove off, we had a 10-minute walk back to our ship and the right terminal.

We arrived in Athens in the afternoon and were leaving for Naxos on the 7am ferry from Piraeus so we wanted somewhere close to the port . The Port Square hotel could not have been better. We took the X96 bus from the airport- buy your ticket at the kiosk before you board - it goes down to the coast and then up to Piraeus along the Athens Riviera. We found the journey interesting and enjoyed having this introduction to the area. The hotel was a short walk from where we got off the bus. The front door is about 400 metres from the water. Breakfast starts at 6am so we were able to have a very quick bite before setting off to walk the 15 mins to jetty E9 where the ferry left from. Extremely easy. We had what they call a comfort room which had a little balcony looking out over the building that houses the metro and the port to the side. It was spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed and the hotel staff were extremely helpful.

We arrived at 03:00 hrs (in the night). We asked for two separate duvets beforehand to avoid needing to ask once we arrived. It was no problem at all. Our room was well prepared. The staff is amiable. They helped translate for the taxi drivers, etc. The rooms are very nicely furnished and equipped. I cannot remember any significant problems. It's just a minor issue with the shower head. They offered an enormous variation of their breakfast buffet, with many local specialties. Coffee (like Cappuccino) is an extra fee, but only a meager amount and the taste is worth paying. The location is fantastic: in front of Metro 1 and 3 to Athens and the Airport. One block away from the commuter train to the Airport. It is also a few blocks from the fish market with many beautiful restaurants. Getting to the cruise terminal in 6-8 minutes is easy to find a taxi.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It's located very close to the port, in easy walking distance. There are lots of eateries and coffee shops all around.
The hotel and rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. The bed is one of the best I have ever slept in. The staff are polite and very helpful. The breakfast buffet had loads of variety and was incredibly tasty. I honestly didn't want to leave. The staff also arranged a taxi from Athens airport for us. It was 65 Euros, but the extra cost was worth missing the hassle of taking public transport.
Although the Port Square Hotel is mid-range in terms of price, they deliver in buckets. Highly recommended.

We were landing at 2am in Athens and needed to be in a hotel near our cruise ship. I spent a lot of time trying to sort this out. Places near airport are either VERY expensive or not 24hr or do not respond until too late!
So we decided to try for a transfer and a hotel near the ship. They arranged a pick up at the airport at 3am and the lovely man was there. There was someone on reception who was able to give us ice and help. The room was clean and aircon worked once we understood what to do. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was really more than adequate with fabulous coffee included. We got an Uber to the ship for very little cost - around £5. The transfer from airport cost us 95 Euros payable to driver but you need cash.

The place to stay in Pireaus! We recently stayed at the Port Square Hotel in Pireaus, Greece for both pre and post-cruise. The hotel is on a quiet street right at the port harbor. While the ferries load right across the street, it was a quick taxi ride to the cruise terminal to board our Seabourn Cruise. (you could walk but it would be a long walk). The hotel is small but very new (only 18 months old). The staff is friendly and very helpful. We arrived early on our first day after our flight from Atlanta. The hotel had arranged for our driver to the hotel. As we arrived prior to 10am, our rooms were not ready. The staff was quick to store our bags and happy to allow us to stay in their small lobby until our room was ready. We walked around the port and some of the local shops until early afternoon when our rooms were ready. We had booked one of their larger suites. The suite was large and well appointed. The balcony overlooked the small plaza and had a view of the harbor. The beds and linens were comfortable and the internet was excellent. Breakfast was included at the attached cafe. The breakfast was very good and gave us a good start before we left for the port. Our check-out was by noon, but we could not go to the port until 1:30, so they were happy to store our bags while we had a morning walk. The staff helped us get a taxi to the port for our cruise.
On our return, we were happy to arrive at the Port Square where we were again greeted by a friendly, smiling staff. Since we disembarked from our cruise ship prior to 9:00am, they once again obliged us by storing our bags for us until our rooms were ready. We had chosen one of their smaller rooms for our return visit. The room was smaller but more than adequate. We were pleasantly surprised to find a small balcony.
Attached to the hotel is a small cafe, Bacaro. Excellent food and friendly service. When I requested a wine opener for a bottle of wine we had brought with us, the bartender insisted on coming to our room to open the bottle so that I would not have to come back down to the cafe after I opened the bottle! We had dinner later that evening and could not have asked for better food or service.
Many people stay in Pireaus both before or after their cruise adventure. You will not find a better spot to stay in Pireaus!

OK, Piraeus has some sketchy parts, but this little hip spot was a gem in this gritty graffitied neighborhood. It’s an EXCELLENT spot to spend the night before or catching a ferry. It’s brand new and we felt totally safe. The best part was Thanos, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. It was like having a long lost friend at the reception desk! He helped us square away how to check in for our early morning ferry trip and gave us some great tips so that we could enjoy the delicious and substantial buffet breakfast. The decor was industrial chic and the A/C was great! I would go back in a heartbeat.

We booked the Port Square Hotel for 1 night prior to joining a cruise. We took the bus from Athens airport costing 5.50 euros per person which took around an hour and dropped us virtually outside the hotel. We received a warm greeting from the lovely Manager Alexandros Paterakis and were given a room on floor 8 which was perfect. It was clean and had the most comfortable bed. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the evening and the food was very good. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and had a chat with a very engaging bar man called Manolis who made an extremely good cocktail. The background music in the bar was perfect some 80's some Motown. We didn't have breakfast the following morning. After checking out we took a waiting taxi outside the hotel and paid 5 euros to the port which took around 5 minutes. All in all an excellent stay and we will definitely return.
