Had a wonderful family vacation at Met34 in Athens. The hotel is centrally located, adjacent to Ermou street, very close to Syntagama sq and within walking distance to Athens’ main attractions. The metropolis suite was spacious with two bedrooms and living room/kitchenette and was very clean. Due to covid-19, the breakfast, which was very generous (albeit lacked vegteables) was served to the room, I thinks it’s nicer that way. The staff were great, kind and courteous all along the trip. I highly reccomend this hitel would love to return in the future!

Before I visit a city for the first time I never know where best to stay. Met34 is located three to four minutes walk from the main tourist area, which is ideal as you don't end up in the thick of it. Even so it's only 15 minutes walk to the top of the Acropolis and adjacent to one of the main shopping streets. The many restaurants and bars can be reached within four minutes and the maximum distance you'll probably need to travel on foot to some restaurants is also 15 minutes. When walking in Athens keep an eye on your purse and pocket, I was warned about thieves and encountered a would pickpocket one evening. I wouldn't say its dangerous in Athens, certainly no more so than most other European cities, but be vigilant. The service at Met34 is second to none and better and most. Much more personal than any premium chain hotel with staff who know what they are doing and know Athens. The apartment rooms are very large with everything you need for both leisure and business, including your own private WAN and desk and printer. Each room also comes with a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, frisge and coffee maker. The walk in rain and hand shower is a welcome treat after a hot day in Athens. The beauty of Met34 is that you can spend the day exploring ancient mounuments, but walk in to a home from home. The breakfast is included in the price. You get freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of bread and cheese, fruit, cereals and conserves. During Covid this is brought to your room, served up to 11am. Everything is fresh and enough to keep your going until supper. State of the art rooms are controlled by a panel at the door and with various buttons around the room. The blinds, aircon and lights are all remotely operated. While this is modern, it can get a bit fiddly, but not annoyingly so. When you get the hang of it, the convenience is obvious. My partner, reading this review, also wanted me to add that she really liked the huge mirror wardrobe. For us the blackout blinds leaked a bit too much light. Mainly because of the way the roller blind is fitted slightly away from the window to allow room for the Venetian blinds fitted in front, next to the glass. I can't help but think it may have been more effective the other way around. But this wasn't a big deal. We were even offered a room upgrade to a two bedroom apartment, with its own separateiving area, where one of the rooms was a bit darker. We declined the generous offer as we felt our room was too perfect to move from. But I can see this set up would be ideal for families. One other thing that I noticed was the bed is smaller than a king. Certainly big enough, and very conformable mattress and pillows, but personally I prefer a bit bigger. I can see why the beds are European queen size, due to the way some of the rooms are laid out. This is not a major issue, but worth a mention. That said a European quewnw size is not a small bed and bigger than most people have in their homes. On the day of departure we asked for a late checkout as our flight was in the evening. They allowed us to check out at 4pm without any extra charge, although I appreciate this was because they had the spare rooms to accommodate us. I strongly advise you ask the hotel for a the tarnsferw from the airport. They don't make any money from this and you pay what any other taxi would charge you, which is paid directly to the taxi driver (about €40.) On this subject, never jump into a cab without a metered fare or you will most likely be ripped off. If a taxi tells you he doesn't do metered fares, take another cab. Or if you can ask the hotel to order you a cab. If you have any questions or queries about the hotel or during your stay, , write an email or call the hotel, they respond very quickly and efficiently. My partner and I very much enjoyed staying at Met34. It's the perfect hotel to explore and enjoy Athens.

We travelled to Athens as a family. @ adults and 2 children aged 8 and 11. We booked a 2 bedroom suite. The hotel is located very conveniently close to the shops, bars, restaurants and within walking distance of the Acropolis. It's on a quiet street and we heard noise from the room. We were met by a male concierge who was very friendly and helpful. He went running around the hotel late at night trying to source us feather pillows as we didn't like the memory foam ones that are standard. He also helped us with a fantastic local souvlaki and gyros restaurant and told us about a really cool/quirky restaurant for the children called 'Little cook'. The room was clean. Breakfast was good and delivered earlier than normal at our request. Lovely Korres products in the 2 bathrooms. Perfect for an overnight stay in Athens.

We stayed for 5days mid July. The room was exactly what we needed and very consistent to what we expected. The location is amazing. The 24/7 availability of always very helpful staff is a definite plus. Breakfast exceeded our expectations satisfying special dietary needs. We would love to visit MET34 again!
