No elevator, no common area, very dirty , just location is ok surrounding with budget restaurant and laundry services at downstairs which charged 6 Euros per load, still need to walk 15 min to Metro, near by the sex shop, not too safe.

We chose this place in a rush, it was cheap. The hotel is located in kind of a dodgy area of Athens, be careful at night (the taxi drivers will tell you this as well). It's quite close to the main areas even by foot. The facilities are ok, clean and nice size. The owner is a bit funny but...

Arrived at 4am from the airport. The guy at the counter was really friendly and accommodating. The room basic but we paid a fair price. Convenient location. Ideal for a one night stay in central Athens.

I do not recommend this hostel. When we arrived the service was not very welcoming or helpful for example with the air condition... The room is everything else but clean, we were so disgusted about the one bed sheet that we had to sleep in our towel... The area is close but unsafe for women and no supermarkets nearby... Sure...

Hotel lozanni has a few good things, the staff for example are very nice and professional and easy to talk to. The AC is also fantastic and although other reviews say there is only one controller this could be true but for the 3 nights I stayed there I had the remote in my room, which was nice. The AC...

The hostel itself is actually really nice - the staff are especially friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and have AC, the bathroom was nice and clean. It's also not too far away from the attractions of Athens. However, the road that this hostel is on is horrendous - it is a narrow street with sex shops and prostitutes...

It's ok if you are just going to stay a few days and just for sleep. The staff is very nice but the hotel is not very clean and the street it is located in is extremely noisy and the neighborhood is a red district of Athens, ugly and seemed unsafe. Still, it's close to the metro station that will...

Hostel Lozanni was a great hostel during our stay at Athens. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind (Vasileios helped us with locations, tips, and he is a very intesting person to talk with). They'll let you print your boarding pass for free and leave your luggage in a room in case you need to. The hostel is at a...

Has everything you need if on a budget, reasonably central, air con, cheap. Guys who work there are great, always available, very helpful. They smoke all the time in the reception, which carries through the air con occasionally, but not really a problem to me. Had a decent stay, would go back if on a similar budget

First and foremost: the people working at the hotel were incredibly kind and very helpful when we arrived. They were eager to help us and recommended places for us to eat and things to do. The people are not the issue with this hotel. Our room was not very clean. The bedsheets were newly changed, but stained. The skin was...

Staying in Kolonaki / Lykavittos

Neighbourhood Profile
Kolonaki / Lykavittos
By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. The wooden amphitheater up here hosts regular concerts during the summer.

“If you see something wrong, don't be afraid to talk to the receptionist. We were given a better room just with that. No annoying nagging from us either, they did it on their own.”
