It is very cheap, but it has all the necesary things for a comfortable stay like: private bathroom, free wifi and a tv (useless for foreign people due all the channels are in greek) One of the things that I liked most, is the good location, very close to a subway station (the subway in athens is very simple of... I spent 6 nights here in November, the hotel has seen better days but I only Paid 67 euros in total for 6 nights less than £10 a night. I had an ensuite and for the budget traveller this hotel does the Job. Tip make sure your balcony door locks, if it doesn't insist on being moved. Be warned though... More

Simple bedroom, with every clean thing you need to sleep. The only problem was the AC: the night was freeking cold and it didn't make the room hotter. The location is not that bad as everybody says. Is a OK hotel, without luxury features that you don't really need.

A rather cheap hotel, and for a very good reason. Apart from sleeping and getting a shower, it doesn't offer anything more. And of course a very convenient location, next to Omonoia Square (and its metro stop), which is no longer a dodgy area as it used to be the last few years, at least it is not dangerous to... More

A reasonably located budget hotel if you are paying as little as possible for the room.Check to see if on internet specials anything over 30 euros is too much in my opinion. Hotel could easily be improved by fixing broken items, making sure the wi fi works on all floors giving the rooms a lick of paint ,and a smile... More

This hotel it's a cheap option for the ones that are visiting Athens. It's not a spa or luxury hotel for sure but, as I said, for the ones that are into spending their time in Athens and not in the room, it's a good choice! It's close to downtown, to subway station, like 5 minute away of subway, and... More

Awful. Small rooms, old building with a lot of noises, couldn't sleep at nigth. Staff and guests smoked in all areas, even if there is a sign of "non-smoking", so the whole hotel is stinky. Staff is not so polite. The wifi only work in the stinky lobby. But it's close to the metro and there is a bus stop... More

Damaged electricity in the bathroom, fan hanging in it's cables from a hole in the roof (we didn't dare to take a shower). Molds in the bathroom. Old, rusty refrigerator with a disgusting smell. Very noisy in the night (both from street and corridors). Unfriendly staff.

I stayed here one night. I wanted something cheap and in the city centre. 5 minutes from Omonia square, Omonia metro station. It is good value for money, great location. I took a single room. It had balcony, TV, fridge, air conditionner, towels, bath things. It has elevator so that was good because a had a big trolley. BUT, the... More

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
