From the moment of arrival to the point of departure, the friendly, helpful staff made this a memorable stay. O&B is in a good location for the major tourist attractions, such as the Acropolis, the Agora and Kerameikos. The hotel sits on the edge of Psyrri - good for the Central Market and a variety of restaurants - and Monastiraki...

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at O&B in Athens. We cannot say enough good things about our stay. The hotel is modern yet cozy. Location is central to major tourist attractions. We walked to the Acropolis, the markets and many other historic and interesting sites. The staff is amazing. So willing to help and so kind and...

The only concern you might have about this place is the place where is located. The surroundings are kind of old town style although not insecure, so once you enter the hotel, you feel like in another world. Having said that and before finishing with the location, we could do the usual attractions in Athens just walking from the hotel:...

I'm a bit late writing this review, but my husband and I stayed here for two nights in July 2014. The staff was very friendly, they brought a delicious little plate of cheese and olives to our room as a welcome, and the room itself was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also deelish. Definitely good value.

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay at the O&B. We had a terrific view of the Acropolis from a very spacious terrace. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. We were there for 3 nights during the week and heard no street noise from our room, contrary to what some of the reviews have mentioned....

After some trekking through the Greek islands O&B was our choice on mainland Greece. It was close to all the major historic sites, in a gentrified neighbourhood and turned out to be a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but it was probably the best place we lodged on our entire trip. All staff were extremely hospitable and accommodating....

A great little modern boutique hotel with the nicest of staff - whoever has done the recruitment has done a fine job. Little touches - help with luggage, orientation, a little share plate of nibbles was delivered to our room, sweetness of the girls, kindness of the guys, breakfast to die for. It's in the back-blocks, and it is a...

My husband and I just returned from Athens this past Wednesday and we stayed at the O & B--it turned out to be a fantastic choice! We were a bit taken aback upon arrival, as the location seemed a bit rough--as it turned out, the location was one of the best things about it. We woke up Sunday morning to...

The hotel is very boutique, we loved it. The bed is large and not too hard and the shower is a delight especially after a day walking around Position is wonderful for visiting Athens and the area it is in deserves to be explored not just the restaurants over the Ermou street but behind in Psirri.

Very short walking distance to Parthenon. Easy access to shopping and dining! Staff is very helpful and go out of there way to make your visit comfortable and stress free. The area has a little of everything to offer the person coming to Athens to really experience the city of Athens!

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
