The O & B is a small hotel well located near the areas of Monastiraiki and Psirri both of which have lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. There's even a view of the Acropolis from the street and some rooms. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are good with a wide selection of food...

My husband and I spent several days in Athens in February 2016. Our room at O&B Athens Boutique was very nice. The style is what I call European modern ... it was very clean, a decent size for the two of us and the amenities were very modern; we even had a small balcony. The best part of the room...

The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The lady who serves breakfast is also very friendly and forthcoming. The breakfast lay is great. The room we had opted for was pretty small and without a view, so check for the right room before you book. We found it slightly cramped and congested but the room was clean and...

The staff took care of our every need including a late check out. The hotel can't be faulted. The rooms are very nice and clean. They are not large and most have an unattractive outlook onto a miserable narrow street with decrepit buildings but the overall service delivery makes up for anything else. Breakfast is very good without being spectacular....

We really enjoyed our 3 night pre-cruise stay at this charming boutique hotel and considered it a very good value. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and genuinely sought to make our visit memorable. Located on a quite narrow side street, the hotel was within walking distance of the Acropolis and a number of good restaurants. The complimentary breakfast...

We stayed here in October for one night before embarking on a cruise. The hotel was located within walking distance of the Acropolis and markets, and there were many restaurants and bars nearby. Having said that, we were traveling with our daughters and were a little worried about them heading out at night on their own in that area (there...

Opening the window and looking directly at the Parthenon was amazing. From the time we arrived and received the selection of Greek appetizers to when we left I cannot fault anything. Breakfast covers any requirements - loved the fresh waffles and juice, just order the coffee you want as opposed to the filtered. The hotel is centrally located for both...

We stayed at the hotel during Christmas time. The location was very central, 10 minutes on foot to Monastiraki square, 15-20 minutes on foot to Syntagma square and 2 minutes walk to the train station THISEIO from where you could go anywhere! Breakfast was quite sufficient with very good quality of products and the same goes for the meal, which...

This hotel is lcated a few metres from the metro. A rather tricky walk to get there, but once you have your direction, it is smooth sailing or rather walking. This hotel has great staff. When you check inn you get a map of Athens and the staff highlight all the important attractions and areas out. Monostraki square is about...

I considered a number of hotels in Athens before finally settling on the O&B Athens boutique hotel. I really made a good choice! Check in was quick and efficient with good advice on the local area and things to do. A beautiful welcome starter of Ouzo, olives and feta was quickly brought to the room. Rooms are comfortable and very...

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
