I visit the lobby of this hotel quite often to have a cup of coffee. I am impressed of the happy and optimistic attitude of the receptionist named Paris. He is full of energy and he has such a bubbly personality!! Whenever I speak with him, I can't stop laughing :))

Only positive is the location but there's plenty of other hotels in the area. We didn't have hot water for a whole day, no apology or notification, only a note in the lift. They still charged full price for the room! Bed is like sleeping on a wooden table. Very uncomfortable. Do not be fooled by the pictures, they're very...

Small hotel in the bustling old town within short walks to some wonderful restaurants and historic sights. The manager was very friendly, helpful, and fun. Being a small hotel on a crowded street there wasn't much of a broad view from the balcony (street scenes galore, though), but the rooms were very quiet and comfortable.

We were pleased with our stay at the hotel Niki. Great location - within walking distance to Syntagma Square and even the Acropolis Museum. The staff were excellent - very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was an upscale continental, which was just what you needed for setting out sightseeing and museum visiting. My only complaint was the WiFi. It was...

The hotel location is absolutely amazing. Everything is available in walking distance. Stuff members are friendly, helpful and they speak English well. The room is small, but bed is comfortable and the bathroom is equipped well. The greatest thing about the hotel is cleanliness. Right choice for a few-days trip to discover magnificent Athens.

Right off of Syntagma Square, this hotel is within walking distance of Athens' main attractions - Acropolis, Plaka, the Agoras, Kolonaki. My wife and I were very happy with the accomodation and breakfast. The rooms are a bit on the small size, but for the price nothing to argue about.

The hotel Niki is a little gem in metropolis of Athens. It is fantastically located to visit all the historical sites, tourist shopping areas and restaurants. Its location in a small side street has the added benefit of being amazingly quiet, considering how much life there is in Athens. On arrival the receptionist made us very welcome, gave us a...

Hotel Niki was very close to all the touristy places we went to, public transit and super markets. Free breakfast was great, juice, tea, coffee, eggs, greek yogurt, bread, ham, cheese, fruits, and sweet bread were included. We left our luggage for almost the whole day at the hotel and it was very safe. The rooms have AC and were...

Very good value for money. Most of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms clean. Toiletries available. Within a stone's throw from the Plaka District, Acropolis, Syntagma Square and shopping streets. Comfortable. Only downside was the lack of shower screen which resulted in much water spillage on the floor, but this is a minor issue. Will definitely visit again...

The hotel is in good condition and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and was very decent. It is located near syntagma square and near Plaka, so an ideal location to walk around. Overall, a good option to stay.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
