Me and my husband have spent 4 nights in the hotel and we were happy there. The check in was quick and straight forward. Rooms are not big but enough space for your belongings. Bathroom good size. All cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The location is great. We've walked every day to different sites and feel really safe....

I enjoyed my stay here. Bed was very comfortable, well at least for my taste. The restaurant on the rooftop has a great view of the acropolis. Staff was very friendly. Superior rooms were a little tight so if you enjoy space go next one up. Shower and bathroom was so small I was banging my elbows on everything have...

The best part is central location but other than that the things are all average. There is a lot of scope for improvement in service and hospitality. There is no one to ask help for luggage. You have to carry up yourself. The rooms are very small. If you have two big bags, there is no place to walk. The...

This hotel is the worst. Check in was not on time. They would not let you sit outside in the café with your water. We were guests of the hotel and they would not let us eat breakfast before check in. But they let solicitors and beggars into the café. Do not go.

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights, great updated amenities, staff is super accommodating and friendly. They had a very nice rooftop bar with great drinks and a big breakfast with lots of variety. We will definitely book again at this hotel if we go back to Athens.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The breakfast spread was amazing, and the best of all of our Greek hotels. We could see the Parthenon from our balcony. The front desk staff was very helpful when it came to organizing transportation.

Our stay at the Polis was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cafe was great for coffee and a snack. Breakfast was fine. Definitely do dinner at the rooftop hotel! Delicious and a great view. As far as location, the neighborhood was not great, in fact a few locals told us to be careful when we mentioned...

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
