We stayed in this hotel overnight before getting on a cruise, the room was lovely and big with 2 bathrooms and a huge bed. The staff were very helpful recommending a place for our evening meal and organising a transfer to the docks. The only downside was the poor breakfast

So glad that we booked this place!! You get a feeling of modern luxury as soon as you walk into the lobby. Room was fresh and we were lucky to have two bathrooms even!! And best part is that we could walk everywhere!! Close to both shopping and restaurants, small piazzas with bars and cafes all around. Also the Acropolis and Plaka is within walking distance. We love the breakfast buffet with all local products. Couldn’t miss it any day!

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They let us check in as soon as our room was ready, made sure we had everything we needed, arranged our ride for the next morning- along with sending us off with two boxes of breakfast. The room was spacious and nice with a good view. And it was a super cute, artsy hotel in a convenient location to the Acropolis, shopping, and dining. I would definitely recommend staying here!

My reservation was for 7/1/21 - 7/5/21. When I arrived, the doors were locked up, what little furniture there was covered by sheets. I was left walking around a strange city, trying to find another hotel.

Last March we arrived at Pallas Athena just as the world was alerted to the Covid risks. The hotel had already implemented numerous health and safety procedures with hand sanitizers everywhere and constant attention to cleaning; we hadn't yet seen such controls in the US and were comforted by their presence. On the day after our arrival the city shut down and we were challenged with changing our return flights and finding a way home. The Grecotel team could not have been more accommodating. They helped us make calls, kept 800 lines open for us when we had connection problems in our room or were on endless hold with the airlines and offered their help at every turn. While happy to be heading home, we were sad to have to leave early since everyone (but for one cranky receptionist) had been truly fabulous. The basics: our room was fun and funky--we had upgraded and were given a fabulous space on the top floor with a balcony but we didn't love the room; Grecotel upgraded our niece to an adjacent balconied room that we preferred (we switched) and the three of us had the top floor to ourselves. The light and airy space with the balcony and its unique ascetic was the perfect antidote to the craziness surrounding us. The neighborhood was bustling, interesting and well located for our truncated sightseeing. Good, reasonably priced local restaurants are nearby, some with stunning views. Reception was great with Theodore and the team making certain we had what we needed to negotiate the city and Hector being available night and day to help us maneuver through our attempts to get home. Breakfast was a delightful array of pastry, breads, fruits, cheeses, meats and ready or cooked to order eggs along with juices, excellent coffee and tea and sparkling wine for mimosas, all nicely prepared and presented. George took great care of the food and beverage service--friendly, creative, happy to get you the perfect drink to enjoy on the veranda or suggest recommendations from the menu for snacks or dinner. Harris served us at breakfast a few times and was charming and efficient. We left just before the hotel was to shut down for an uncertain period of time. Despite the uncertainty of their jobs and how the pandemic might affect them, the staff remained positive, upbeat, polite and accommodating. Knowing that they would soon be out of work didn't deter them from graciously extending hospitality until we departed for the airport. Just before we left we met Mary Karasouli, the hotel manager. This is a woman who clearly takes great pride in the property as well as the country and all it has to offer; she graciously gifted us a departing present of some of the organic Agreco farms specialties (which are available for purchase at the hotel and not to be missed--these aren't "tourist" items but rather beautifully crafted soaps, olive oils, thyme honey...you must try them). Our trip was cut short but the Pallas Athena team went above and beyond. This is first class service at a very reasonable price. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
