I really loved city circus. It's in psiri area in the centre of Athens with lots of restaurants and bar. The rooms are very stylish with good space and a touch of interior design. If you are going to Athens and would like to hand in city centre this is the place.

Very open and quiet atmosphere, interesting place, according to the map the situaion is on the borderline of old abandoned building with some homeless, but reality is the situation is perject, very near of lot's of restaurants and nightlife zone

Amazing place, friendly and helpful staff- for less than 24 hrs they assisted us in getting our delayed/femaged baggage, dealing with the airline involved. A roof top terrace with breathtaking view.A unique Greek bakery, just across the street. We stayed for 1 night only before our cruise, but we wish we had more time. Great value for money!

I stayed during the middle of off season, and I have to say this is one of the best Hostels I have ever visited. It is in fact, very tidy and interior is very well designed, which is a huge plus considering the great vibe and an overall friendly atmosphere. The staff could be trained slightly better, because they were...

The place is very friendly but quiet. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they recommend us places to visit, restaurants and stuff around the hostel. We booked a private room (001) with private bathroom included, they have a small hairdryer and towels included as well .. the breakfast was for free, it's a buffet on the restaurant next to...

The staff were delightful and were more than happy to offer assistance and advice. The beds were amazing, so comfortable, each bed has a plug (to charge your phone) and a light. The showers were big, powerful and hot and the cubicle was very nicely tiled. The hostel location is very good, walking distance to a number of attractions (the...

Love the neighborhood, it's funky and cool. It can be a bit noisy at night, but nothing that can't be solved with ear plugs. I was here on New Years and it was fine; no raging parties or raging anyone. I found a good mix of all ages staying here. The interior is clean and the beds super comfy. Be...

When my husband told me "hostel" I thought he made a mistake and meant "hotel." I threw caution to the wind and could not have been more delighted. We had the loft room (private bathroom, kitchen) with a patio (that can be utilized by other guests) with a view of The Acropolis. Breakfast buffet had bread, jam, cheese, ham, eggs,...

I was so lucky to have found this amazing hostel in Athens! For sure it's the cleanest hostel I have ever been but I wouldn't just limit it to the hostel category. It could easily be a boutique hotel with an alternative and relaxed atmosphere. I have stayed there two nights with my friend in a 4 bed dorm, which...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
City Circus is an alternative travelers space for the restless voyager, the escape artist, the acrobat. It's in the heart of Athens, in the hip Psirri neighborhood, beside numerous eateries and watering holes and a short walk from worthwhile sites. City Circus is in a 4-story, restored early 20th century mansion, complete with fresco-ed ceilings, wrought-iron balconies and baroque tiles. We’ve dressed it up with vintage furniture, reclaimed materials, modern design elements and street art by a selection of fresh local talent. ... more   less
