You can't beat the location of this hotel which is minutes from all the key locations and Monastraika train station as well. Room was clean albeit beds a little hard by North American standards. Bring your ear plugs as walls were a little thin and could hear everything being on first floor. Nice rooftop terrace for breakfast. Shame not open...

Adrian hotel is a little hotel in the Plaka area . Friendly staff, clean rooms and great roof terrace under Akropolis. Most of all A GREAT LOCATION right in the midle of everything. You are just 5 min. waking distance from Monastiraki metro station, 10 min. from the Akropolis and in the midle of a number of restaurants, bars and...

This hotel has a great location minutes from the acropolis and slap bang in the middle of everything. Monastikari metro is less than 5 mins walk and loads of great cafes and restaurants right outside. Reception staff friendly and room was basic but very clean with a nice balcony. Roof terrace overlooks the Acropolis. Breakfast was less good with a...

Breakfast on rooftop great, but watch for the birds stealing your food. Great real fresh orange juice. Great location for ruins and metro. Plaka worth a walk around as well as good for eating. We used 5 of the 6 tickets you get when buying the Parthenon entrance in a day and half, as so local.

The hotel is in an excellent location at the edge of the Plaka district in Athens. I had a clean, comfortable room with lovely white fluffy towels in the bathroom. My room was a little noisy though. Breakfast on the roof terrace had a great view of the Acropolis. Breakfast was quite basic but adequate. The Reception staff were very...

Nice rooms and service. Beautiful roof terrace for free breakfast with view of Acropolis. Short walks to Acropolis and fabulous New Acropolis Museum. Be wary of sparrows on terrace waiting to sample your breakfast. Brazen and fun to watch.

Have just returned from a great holiday in Athens staying at the Adrian Hotel. Rooms were clean; staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble and the view from the roof where breakfast is taken, was spectacular - looking over the Acropolis

Although a liitle hard to find, this quaint little hotel is walking distance (with luggage) from Monastiraki metro station. It offered quiet and effective air conditionning. Our room faced the street and, once the sliding door closed it was quiet. The room is in need of having the carpet removed and replaced with tile. Other than that, the room was...

My partner and I have stayed at the Adrian Hotel a number of times now. It is in a terrific location, has a beautiful breakfast terrace with a view to the Acropolis, is efficiently run, and the rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We always request one of the upper rooms with a balcony overlooking the city - the...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
