Due to a strike at the airport and the over reaction and incompetence of Emirates Airlines, a travel agency at the airport (knowing our plight and desperation) booked this hotel for two nights. In 37 years of travelling abroad I have never stayed at such...More
I would have given it 5 stars if it was a 3 star hotel. The hotel is nice, the rooms have very limited light and are a bit old, the beds are very uncomfortable and there is no fridge. The bathroom is nice and toiletries...More

Our room was OK. You have everything you need for a good night sleep. 5 minutes walk from La Plaka and central metro/bus station. AMAZING roof top view where breakfast is served. Breakfast buffet is nice, lots of choices. Would stay there again for sure.

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
