We had two rooms 502 and 401 both very spacious 401 had a bath tub which was very enjoyable after a day's sightseeing. The location was fantastic close to buses and short walk to Plaka and one street over from shopping street. Breakfast OK but the same every day. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would stay here again if ever...

The room was big with a small fridge and plenty of clothes storage. Staff was helpful and the location is excellent, just 2 minutes from Syntagma Square. Breakfast was also excellent, and the cost very competitive.

A very good location, many good restaurants - wine bars- shops around and the metro station. The hotel is clean, the walls in rooms need to get painted. It's value for money. The staff is kind and available to help.

A very basic hotel in a very good location. Bathrooms could do with updating - basic but clean. Not a hotel for relaxing in - a place to use as a base for getting out and about in Athens. Great places to shop and eat nearby.

We stayed for two nights, location of this hotel is perfect and the staff was friendly and helpful. Although our room was on the 7th floor and renovated as we were told, we still could hear noise from the street since the external window glasses were not changed(single glass) but double was only the opening part/window.This has as a result...

The location alone dictates that you stay here. It is an easy walk anywhere you need to go. Acropolis, shopping, restaurants, Syntagma Square, etc. The breakfast was great and there is a large supermarket down Mitropoleos towards Monastiraki Square. The rooftop garden overlooking the Parthenon is the perfect place for a sundowner. The only caveat is that the beds are...

Its is located in the center of Athens in an excellent location! The view from the roof is magic! The rooms need renovation immediately and bathroom too! They gave us a room that the bathroom's door didn't close and we asked for an other. They changed us without any questions. the bed wasn't comfortable and the breakfast was just ok.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
