The hotel is perfectly located in Plaka - very close to the Acropolis, the parliament and temple of Olympian Zeus and to various taverns and tourist shops. The staff was super friendly, explained to us how to get the sights, called us a taxi early in the morning when we had to leave. The room was small but clean and...

Just checked out of Adams Hotel and had a great time. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of all historical sites and is in a lovely area of Athens with bars and restaurants just around the corner. Accommodation is basic and rooms are a little tired looking but we were out most of the day. Rooms have air conditioning...

Perfect Location as the Hotel is located just next to the acropolis in city centre, close to tube, local shops, bars and restaurants. Otherwise hotel itself is very poor definitely not for a young people, I suggest not to get a breakfast in the hotel as the variety is poor and you can get better one for same price in...

We can do almost all the thinks by walking. We´re four persons with our childrens and the room was correct, it was divided into two separate places and a...

Arrived at hotel with a taxi arranged by them at our request. Small room but seemed clean, few broken tiles as you went into the bathroom, but renovations are ongoing. Breakfast was fine for us , simple but fresh. Staff very helpful, reception open 24 hours and has vending machine with snacks and drinks. Walls between rooms very thin but...

Perfect location with just ten mins to walk to Acropolis, Syntagma Square, shops & restaurants. Beautiful views of Acropolis from the lovely roof terrace. Small balcony which was lovely in the sun but the...

I stayed there for 4 nights, a couple around Christmas time and the other two around new year's eve. The acropolis is 5 minutes away on foot. Settled between two metro stations, close to a handful of good and reasonably priced restaurants. the room has a mini bar, small TV and an air condition. All rooms I tried have a...

Had two stays here. The location was good, but wouldn't stay here again. First stay (2 nights) was okay, not great. Shower was extremely small, there was mold on the ceiling. Second stay (one night) when I opened the desk drawer a small bug ran across it. Upon further examination found more along the top seam of the bed. Freaked...

We stayed over the new year and despite my booking for next new year in error (I booked for 2017-18 when arrived 2016!!) they had a room for our stay. They could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location is perfect, just a walk from some of the best places to eat and drink. Close to all the...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
