This was a lovely hotel close to all the sights. We took a bus from the airport, and the hotel was literally down the road from the bus stop so that was easy to find. We spent 2 nights in Athens and it was just perfect. Because we were a group of 4, travelling from different countries, we arrived at...

Just spent three nights in this hotel and it's difficult to fault it. Very easy check in with efficient staff. Room was to the side of the hotel but we didn't intend to spend much time in the room so this wasn't a problem. Comfortable beds; nice ensuite; plenty of space; very quiet and an excellent breakfast with a very...

First time in this hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is excellent. Breakfast very good too. Only reason I did not give it 5* is because there are no luxuries - it is a nice hotel at a good price considering the location. Worth having the deluxe room...

Excellent location. Excellent service. Very recommended if you wish to travel Athens by foot as it is located within walking distance from all major attractions. We stayed there with our two years old and had a wonderful time.

Location is ideal literally next to the main square and within walking distance of all that has to be seen in Athens and the main shopping area and excellent restaurants (Metro station less than 5 minutes away). The rooms are modern and although are nothing special, they are large, clean and well serviced. All have balconies for those who smoke,...

We were upgraded to a Deluxe room with views of the Parliament and National Gardens. Walking distance to all city centre attractions. Bus stop to airport around the corner. Service-oriented, correct and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet very complete. Great value for the price.

I really liked my stay at the hotel. The bed was very good and comfortable, we had all we needed and the staff is very good and helpful. What I liked is that they also have a place to access computer and print any documents necessary. The only things I didn't like were the wi-fi, which didn't work very well...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
