Thief gangs operate in the surrounding area, local Police performs street raids at night. Yesterday at 8 PM we were "greeted" by a security commando detaining ten adolescents right by entrance of SOHO hotel. Our children were shocked and slept afraid. Rooms: Old and smelly carpets. Room was not even cleaned once in four days, only after calling reception we...

The area around the hotel is quite dirty and a bit unsafe so its best to travel with someone else and not at night. However, sights, shopping and metro were an easy walk from the hotel which was good. The room was alright, the bathroom was quite old but clean. There was A/C, fridge, etc. which was handy.

We needed a place to sleep for 26hrs but had to pay for two nights hence opted for this place as it gave a good deal and was centrally located. all my tours and transfers were tied up with a travel agency and hence we just needed a place to sleep. this is good only for serious budget travellers, bag...

Staff is kind and friendly, wifi was available and working propertly, whenever you want there are tee and coffe available in the lobby, cleanliness was good. Location looks not safety and metro station is around 10 minutes walking.

What a surprise this hotel was in many ways! We wanted somewhere cheap to overnight before setting off for the islands and at €22.50 you can't get much cheaper so we didn't expect much however the rooms are clean and tidy, but also BIG. OK, the place is a bit tired and in a seedy part of town but only...

The hotel itself is not bad at the price you pay and at a convenient location. But the area is horrible. We heard plenty of news of people getting robbed in that area. We stayed there in April 2012, and there were police posting in front of the hotel upto midnight. After midnight and early morning are the most vulnerable...

The hotel itself is not bad, but the location is the worst security area in Athens as I visited ! I stayed there in 2012 May for one night, and left the hotel in the early of the morning to catch my ferry to Santorini, on the way to metro, my handbag had snatched by a robber! it was the...

I'am a Travel Agent. Do not stay here, pick another place, Omonia area is scary, even when I was with my husband. There is a police station downstairs from hotel. They stand around and do nothing, honestly, garbage everywhere, grafi. Not nice. Looking out my balcony, people were sleeping amongst garbage and on their balcony. When I walked into the...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone traveling as a couple, alone or with girlfriends. The location is just terrible, no wonder is so cheap. You might be a little impressed at first because rooms are so big, some of them even with a balcony (useless, since the view is horrible), they have 14" flat TVs and air conditioned, but...

My room had private bathroom, fridge, air conditioning and even a tv set. Besides, it was cleaned every day. Having coffee,...
