Overall, I am ok to happy with my choice to stay in Best Western Museum for my extended stay in Athens after my conference. The location of the hotel is not too bad. About 10mins walk to the local subway and about 20mins walk to the main shopping area. However, the hotel is situated inside a very quiet neighbourhood and...

Will start off with the plus points. Its cheap, conveniently located , has friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast and good clean rooms. Its a good place to come back to after you've done your tourist thing. Do not choose this hotel if you want to wallow in the lap of luxury or if you are expecting something fancy. It is...

Flew from Cyprus for a flying visit to see the sites. Hotel clean and comfortable but rooms quite small, usual thing in a city centre. No bath and a very small shower which flooded the floor every time we used it. Breakfast passable but basic. On the plus side the hotel is in an ideal location for all the sites....

I actually was a little disappointed with this hotel. The room was fine, clean and large enough for a family of four. We actually had been upgraded to a junior suite which we were grateful for. The reception staff were always friendly and helped when every asked. The location did not really bother us as we found some nice restaurants...

My colleagues and I stayed at the BW Museum Hotel recently and found it reasonably comfortable and fairly priced for the location. The staff is very welcoming and supportive, and the rooms are more than adequate for short stays in Athens. The included breakfast was nicely presented and the food tastefully done ~ my only disappointment was that there were...

First time I've stayed here. Good location, close to (surprisingly) the main archaeological museum in Athens. Reasonably priced with very good breakfast. My room was a very small double but it was well furnished with a well equipped bathroom. Staff were helpful.

Although the area is a little shady, the location next to the National Archeological Museum is fantastic. We came for the Athens Marathon - staff were incredibly helpful - a very early breakfast was organised - we were also allowed to keep our room until 5pm with no extra charge. Staff were friendly and understanding. Breakfast was satisfactory although not...

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
