When my 12 year old son and I decided to spend one day/night in Athens on our way to Corfu, our criteria were threefold: close to the metro, pool, good value for the price. In my research the Novotel seemed to meet all three criteria. I paid about ten days in advance and the price was about 75 Euros. I...

I like Novotel hotels. Last year I have stayed in Sevilla and Lisboa Novotel hotels. And this year we were travelling to Athens and stayed in Novotel Athenes. I must say, that the Athenes Novotel was the worst of my visited Novotel hotels. Hotel is nice, but it is in the worst district of the Athens - immigrant area. It...

On the...

I didn't have any qualms as other reviewers seem to have had about staying in this part of Athens. Athens is (of course) a city - read: urban environment. This is not a rich neighborhood, and it has not been 'sanitized' to accommodate tourists who don't want to see the less-than-glamorous parts of urban living. And, that's ok. It provides...

I have just one major conceirn about the future of this great hotel. It is the worst neiborhood...
