Hotel was as good as all of the reviews said. Location is perfect: close enough to everything in the Plaka, but generally quiet. I would recommend asking for a room that doesn't face Mitropoleos Street as you may hear some noise from the wine bar below. Loved the rooftop bar for a drink and the beautiful nighttime view of the...

We stayed at the Plaka for one day on our arrival in Athens. We returned for three more days two weeks later. Both experiences were first class. Good clean rooms with excellent service. They have a variety of room options available. Great location!! We would not hesitate to stay here again!!

From the moment i walked into the Plaka Hotel and was greeted by a charming lady named Eva, I felt I had made the right choice in staying here. I paid160 Euros for my room, #611, which was on the small side but more than made up for it with a stunning view of the Parthenon,(lighted at night ) I...

We have used this hotel for trips to Greece in 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2014. The only 'problem' is the amazingly small lift, but it is reasonably easy to fit two people and luggage in - or use the stairs. Rooms and bathrooms are as expected (having stayed before). We were impressed this time as we arrived early in the...

This hotel is right in the middle of Plaka on a quiet street (and so it's not noisy). It is a little dated, and the rooms are small, but the staff are so great that it's always packed with loyal return travelers. The roof top bar is also very nice, with views of the Acropolis.

The excellent plus points of this hotel are the central location, outstanding views from the rooftop & bar, and the excellent friendly & help full service from all staff members. The not so good points includes the one very overworked small lift, the less than comfortable bed & the bathroom which had a shower head that pumped out water in...

Dear lelba Though I am glad to read that you were pleased with your early check in possibility, breakfast selection, and free coffee and tea we offer, I am obviously disappointed you were expecting certain things we do not advertise. Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
