Stayed three nights at the hotel. Clean and comfortable. A reasonable good spread of breakfast. I must thanked the two pleasant and nice ladies at the reception. They spoke good english and were very helpful. The hotel is located slightly up the hill, so one need to walk a bit, so need proper shoe wears.

Nice and comfy. Good location in a quiet street. Nice view from our balcony. Rooftop terrace and small swimming pool in basement courtyard (likely very pleasant in Summer months but not heated for Autumn visitors).

This is a wonderful little hotel nestled up against Fillippapos Park/Hill. The staff is so friendly it's like a little home away from home. Especially friendly and helpful was Katerina at the front desk. She suggested lovely places that were always perfect, her knowledge of the area and care for the guest makes this great place even better. And speaking...

I was there the second time. Friendly service and nice rooms. Breakfast is also ok for me. The hotel is really near to the Acropolis museum and Acropolis hill. Only few minutes by feet. Also the Plaka area is not far from this hotel with much restaurants.

I stayed here with 3 friends for 3 nights prior to our Mediterranean cruise from Piraeus. This intimate hotel is close to site seeing. Rooms are small but immaculate! The highlight of the hotel is the rooftop terrace. We enjoyed any time of day there taking in views of the city. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighbourhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianised Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centrepiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
