The hotel although a decent distance from the airport is perfectly located close to (as the name suggests) Acropolis hill. The hotel is modern and clean. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were restaurants within walking distance and a main bus stop close by in which you can easily catch a bus, hop on hop off...

From our room which faced out on to the street we could see the Parthenon. The room was a triple room that was clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk to all the major sites and within easy walk to restaurants. One issue for us was that we had our car and parking is terrible. You need to find...

Location of the hotel is fantastic as most had mentioned here, front desk very helpful and co-operative, clean rooms and bathroom and cleaning done daily, the basics are well taken care of for sure. Stored our luggage for us when we went to Nafplio, appreciate the gesture. Good buffet served each morning but for the tea or coffee options, they...

Stayed 4 total nights in December. The hotel is perfectly located for walking to all Athens tourist spots. The Acropolis complex itself is a short walk out of the front door and left into the complex. We also found that walking to Plaka and Olympic Stadium to be very manageable. The room itself was smaller, but cozy. We booked the...

Very conveniently located hotel, on walking distance of the Acropolis. Very friendly staff. The room is clean and pleasant, but rather small. No coffee/tea in the room (and when you ask for it, a cup of coffee is rather expensive: 3 euro!). Nice breakfast. Parking is not a problem: we could park right in front of the hotel. Acropolis view...

We stayed at the Acropolis Hill hotel for eight days and enjoyed our time there. A very helpful staff and a great breakfast too. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. It was an easy walk to the Parthenon or Muse Hill. Great bakery close by. The only area of improvement would be the coffee at the breakfast...

Nice and comfy. Good location in a quiet street. Nice view from our balcony. Rooftop terrace and small swimming pool in basement courtyard (likely very pleasant in Summer months but not heated for Autumn visitors).

This is a wonderful little hotel nestled up against Fillippapos Park/Hill. The staff is so friendly it's like a little home away from home. Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighbourhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianised Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centrepiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
