Most tourist hotels anywhere near Plaka are expensive, I have been to Athens 9 times and never would have known about this place if it weren't for my friend. It is surprisingly cheap. It is a basic no frills hotel but the people that run...More
I ended up trying to book last-minute accommodations in Athens, and just when I was about to give up, I found an open room at Athens Way. Thanks goodness! It is a bit of a distance from the Plaka, but that being said, it is...More
Quite deceiving from what you see in the pics . Nestled almost in the heart of Athens , surrounded by graffiti covered buildings and dark and dingy streets . Close vicinity to lots of cafes etc which is a bonus .

Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as
its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
Is this a hotel or a B &B? It is listed both ways. In searching google for the web site is says hotel and rooms appear larger. On trip advisor it is listed as a B & B. Are there 2 different properties with same name? Athens Way hotel and Athen way B & B
