The hotel has all the amenities expected. The location is not ideal and the prices are at premium level. It was busy when we were there and the impression was that they needed more cleaning staff hence the middling overall score.
Free shuttle service to Syntagma Square was perfect. Fantastic View to Akropolis from top terrasse. Only negative thing was that Pool was very small and too crowded. However good service at the pool bar and Nice to enjoy the View with cold drinks.
Our family was flying back to the US after visiting family house on a Greek island. We stayed two nights and will definitely stay again next year during our annual trip to Greece. I’m a Hyatt member and had wanted to stay at the property since it first opened and we will definitely return. We had use of the Club Lounge. The property is nicely updated and we had a suite with a view of the Akropolis. I spent many hours at the two outdoor pools with our daughter. We enjoyed dining at the 8th floor restaurant which also served as the breakfast location. Even though breakfast was crowded, never had long lines and always plenty of fresh food available. I worked out twice in the gym which is nicely equipped with treadmills, elliptical and rowers for cardio and free weights, kettlebells and various machines. The only downside to the hotel is it’s location, it’s on a busy road with four lanes of traffic in both directions. With our youn daughter we wouldn’t be able to walk to Plaka or Syntagma Square. So we always had to take a taxi to “go into town” or to return to the hotel, not a big deal since there are so many taxis in town, but adds cost and time. Still, not enough to make us consider another hotel on our next visit. In addition, the new expansion appears to have another rooftop pool with even better views of the the Akropolis. …
Definitely the most enjoyable, beautiful and relaxing spa I’ve been to. Facials and massages are amazing. I go there regularly so that says something... The best staff, super friendly and professional - they know their work very competent. Bravo to Maria and Sovik for making me feel so welcome.
I’m at the hotel right now. Being a Globalist with Hyatt I’ve travelled around many Hyatt hotels, and this one is by far the worst - it’s not good at all, and there is no attention to the Globalists. The first room provided was very small and with not working AC, it was 31 degrees in the room. We asked for a change and received a room with a broken window that does not close. Rooftop pool closes at 18:30. Rooms are not to Grand Hyatt standards. Avoid at all costs. Especially if you are a globalist and expect good level of service with Hyatt hotels.
We enjoyed one night stay after seven days of sailing in Grand Hyatt Athens. Due the early arrival it was wonderful to spend time at the rooftop pool prior rooms were ready. Although, another room was not ready at 3 pm, but at 4. In addition, we had booked a room with the view already in April - received a first floor room with minor view to the Acropolis. What a disapointment to the kids who had been waiting for the stay for monts. Compensation for the delay was: drink coupons. First they promised a dinner.. Not the kind of a CX we expected
Stayed for only one night (wish we had done more) at this fabulous hotel, where the staff and service was phenomenal! Right from the early check-in, to the complimentary breakfast, every gesture was so warm and thoughtful. Great views of the Acropolis from the rooftop pool too! Thank you and Kudos to the entire team!
Despite a issue with the AC and noise from drilling due maintenance(had to change room) I liked the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. Nice pool area and a great view to the acropolis. The food in the restaurant was good. Good selection for breakfast. It is a bit far from city center, need a taxi to go anywhere. Nice and helpful staff.
Good hotel after all. Extremally expensive restaurant food, if compared with local restaurants and hotels in the area. Good spa and good food, but…. Hot rooms. Looks like in Athens the AC temperature is not a priority, though the exterior is at 103 F, the rooms temp never go below 75, even if the display shows a different reading.! The ice in the restaurants is “on demand”. You must ask for it! The small “refrigerator” in the rooms, is more like an extra drawer. You can put beverages in there, or you panties and socks. They will never get cool. The hotel is far away from any location of " interest", including autochthonous restaurants, cafes, shopping places and archaeological sites and museums. A customer has to keep in mind an extra budget on a daily basis of 80.0 to a 100.0 Euros in transportation (taxis). If you have a numerous family or group over 4 people, a 35% more should be add.…
Our early international flight led us to the hotel by 10am. It was 5pm before we received a room. The staff didn't seem to care or be able to explain the delay. There were many going before us. I believe it was due to the fact we booked with a third party. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was the best part. The view from the pool is pretty fantastic. The area is full of girly bars.. Watch our for the cab drivers many are not honest.
