Spent 4 nights here before our Greece islands cruise aboard the Azamara Journey. We chose this hotel for its location near restaurants and Acropolis, all within walking distance. I also like the garden across hotel, quiet for a nice slumber. Room was spacious for 2 people, clean and also included a cell phone for city sights. We didn't have to use our mobile phones. Door entry was keyed in number but our code would not work so office gave us a key. Buffet breakfast was also wonderful with good variety of options. When we checked out, we were given parting gifts of olive oil and dry thyme. I recommended this hotel to a good friend visiting Athens this October.
Hotel location : Excellent - around 20 minute walk from plaka Staff : Extremely friendly and helpful Room design: horrible (my review is for a triple room so it might not be so bad for a solo traveler) - the sink is situated right next to the door so it is the first thing you see when you open the door, then you have the toilet separately and the shower separately - which is not so practical. So much room space has been wasted in separating the shower / toilet and sink from each other. towels: some were good and some would not even be found in a 1* hotel (in all fairness the staff changed them when we asked , but it shouldn’t be something you need to ask for in the first place in a 4* hotel) Breakfast : was okay Shelves / closet space: minimal Extra bed: extremely noisy/squeaky sofa bed (the hotel offered to switch rooms however it’s a hassle for 3 people to change rooms with no guarantee that the other bed is less noisy) Would recommend for a solo traveler and (maybe) a couple.…
Lovely hotel within walking distance to Acropolis, many restaurants. Very clean with friendly, helpful staff. Continental breakfast included with delicious fresh options. Rooftop bar with beautiful views of the Acropolis especially at night. Highly recommend and would certainly stay here again.
From our late evening arrival at the B4B to our departure 3 days later, the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. The Roof top bar was fabulous offering (lots of shots and) great pizzas. The rooms were clean and beds extremely comfortable. The reception staff organised taxis and gave us lots of useful information. Its within walking distance of all the famous sights: the Acropolis, the museum, the Roman Agora, the Ancient Agora, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympium Zeus and the wonderful Plata district. We had a fabulous time here.
Lovely clean hotel close to tram stop and local restaurants . Loved the hotel rooftop bar restaurant with perfect view of Acropolis. Staff were excellent and helpful. Breakfast really good with lots of choices. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location could not have been better for a few days exploring Athens. Its about 10 minutes walk to the South Gate of the acropolis which is perfect for getting in early to beat the crowds. Fantastic friendly staff, great breakfast, and possibly the comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. The rooftop bar was surprisingly cool with a great view of the parthenon. All in all I couldn't recommend more.
A cozy hotel with excellent service. Very honest staff. we forgot the ipad when we left and they kept it until we picked it up a week later. It is at a walking distance from the plaza and the pantheon. So, if you come to Greece, this hotel is a very good and economical option.
The location is perfect, near all main tourist attractions. Polite and friendly staff, and they are always ready to help. Very good breakfast. The public transport is availabke near hotel. The hotel, where I'll stay again.
Stayed with my partner for 4 nights in May in a superior Acropolis view room. The staff is amazing and Tina the hotel owner is a top young lady. The Hotel is very clean, the room is perfect and the mini bar prices are really value for money. The location is really privilleged within walking distance from old town of Plaka, Acropolis and Sytnagma square. Metro Station only 1 min walk. The view from the Roof Garden is out of this world.
This hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff is wonderful! So friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Rooms are a little small by American standards but beds we comfortable and we had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the amazing breakfasts in the lobby and the rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis. The location is PERFECT…we walked to shopping and dinner each night. We arrived to Athens at night and I have to say I was initially concerned that maybe we were in a not-so-great part of town based on the graffiti that covered most of the surrounding buildings. However, we soon realized that graffiti is literally EVERYWHERE in Athens, so do not be alarmed. Again, I cannot say enough good things about the staff, the hotel and the location. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful time B4B!…
