Detailed Reviews
We where passing through Athens myself , husband and our 2 year old we stayed in there suite room given we had our daughter with us . The photos online show exactly what you received. All equipment worked well and bed very comfortable and good linen.
Bonus to the suite - really appericated there blind which blocked the light.
I used the Gym and fully appreciated
Staff very helpful , polite and warm reception.
All in all it offers everything it promises and clean.
Only downside is the area located but given it’s on a main toad this doesn’t give you any issues.
I recommend for couples wanted good quality but at good pricing
Parking close by for 9€ per day highly recommend if you bring your car !

We arrived at K29 early and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in and offered us a nice cold lemonade whilst we waited a few minutes for our room to be ready. Our room was very clean with a good powerful shower in the bathroom. A kettle and cups were available in the small kitchenette, and the room was equipped with an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was good selection of cold meats, cheese, yogurt, fruits and cereals and pastries, plentiful and very enjoyable. You could take coffee and tea to use in the room. The hotel was a few minutes walk to the metro, and 10 to 15 minutes stroll to Syntagma Square, the Acropolis and all the restaurants, cafes and bars. Although some of the streets close to the hotel were the same as many large inner city areas, we never felt uncomfortable even at night. You just need to be aware as you would in any large city. Throughout our stay the staff could not have been more helpful, particularly Grandeleia and Theodora. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Athens.

Recently spent a night at Athenaeum K29 Hotel and found it to be a good experience. The hotel's location is convenient, with Omonia square just 5 to 10 minutes away on foot. This proximity made it easy to explore the surrounding area, and there were plenty of restaurants within a 10-minute walk, offering a variety of dining options. FYI, Omonia square is not a touristy location - it is mainly known for immigrants from South Asian countries setting up shops by the streets and living in that area.
One standout aspect of our stay was the thoughtful advice from the front desk representative. As tourists heading out for an evening walk, we were cautioned to stick to the crowded streets and avoid side streets for safety—a considerate gesture that we appreciated.
The breakfast served at the hotel was decent, providing a good start to our day, though it didn’t stand out as exceptional.
Overall, Athenaeum K29 Hotel provided a comfortable and convenient base for our short stay. It was a nice choice for a one-night visit.

First of all I want to thank the managment and all the staff of the K29 Athenaeum Hotel for which I consider one of the best accomodation which me and my wife have truly enjoyed. We stayed at the hotel for a total of 12 days and I truly say that the service and dedication provided by the staff was great. We surely enjoyed the breakfast on the 7th floor with a side to side verandah and a fanastic view of the acropolis etc. The brekfast itself was tasty and very delicious and fresh with lots of items to choose from. And a big thank you to the waitress and receptionist who served us always with that sincere smile which shows that the greeks are great at heart. Long time ago I worked on a cruise ship as musician with Epirotiki Lines, the best years of my life. Returning to Greece after so much years proved that these people remain sincere, hard working and they show great respect. The room we had was great, with a large size bathroom and kitchenette which served us to the utmost. It was always cleaned with clean towels, etc. Contrary to what others wrote, the area is completely safe, only during the night like other countries one has to take drastic measures to avoid some narrow side streets, due to the fact that Athens has alot of foreigners and drug abuse is visible in some areas. Surely we will book this hotel again for next year. Thank you Hotel K29. You made our holiday ....Martin & Lilian Cordina

K29 was lovely BUT it is not a place I would recommend for older persons or if you want to relax in peace and quiet - the area is too noisy. Early morning/late night and during the night. I am not sure whether it was because of Easter Celebrations. Other than that, it was perfect. Breakfast was a very good spread. What an awesome welcome to Greek Cuisine -
Beds might be a bit too soft for some but clean fresh linen, spacious bathroom and shower makes up for it. We had a kettle and microwave in our room which was A Big plus. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Dear Jihane, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and comfort. Regarding your comment about street noise, we would like to inform you that our hotel is equipped with double glazing windows in every floor. However, sometimes in the central streets of Athens it is inevitable to avoid any demonstrations and events that take place and cause an increase in street noise and traffic. Additionally, we take great pride for our most competitive prices while we are delivering best services and amenities which exceed the expectations of our guests, compared to hotels of the same profile. Once again thank you for choosing us and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and exceed your expectations too! Best regards, Bill Constadios Public Relations & Communications Manager

Stayed here for three nights. My room (a triple) was quite big and comfortable, kitchenette and bathroom were ok, but no possibilities to change room temperature -air conditioning digital panel seems to be locked- and, most of all, too noisy. I slept only a few hours, especially in the last night because of continuos traffic noises. No double glazing or soundproof windows, even if the hotel is on one of the busiest streets in downtown Athens. Unbelievably noisy, I wouldn't stay at k29 again!

+1
The welcome by friendly and helpful staff with a little welcome drink was my absolute favorite. Nothing was too much too ask.
Booked a single room and got an upgrade to double. Everything in the room was nice, clean and comfortable.
Enjoyed the outside area in front of the hotel and 7th floor for breakfast with the outside balcony.
Perfect for my short stay in Athens. Will recommend 100%

Modern hotel, at city center! It's difficult with car to stop and to leave people and luggage near hotel! There is a parking near, but if you go at the small streets is not clean and safe. There is a delicious fish restoration near. The rooms are small and bathroom was with old not working well equipment. For 2 nights is OK

What sets this little hotel apart from other bigger places is the service. Nothing was a bother to the front desk staff (both ladies named Christina were exemplary). Taxi and restaurant bookings made efficiently and followed up with a confirmatory call. Need more glasses or plates - no worries! Housekeeping staff were excellent. Staff were knowledgeable on where to go - from seeing ancient monuments to buying good olive oil. I was totally impressed with the service and the service I received was on par with five-star hotels in which I have stayed. Thank you for a great stay - I will definitely stay again!

I stayed at other places in Athens that were supposed to be nice but were old. This place is wow it’s only 2-3 years old. The outside inside everything is very new and modern. Everything was made so well, the sheets were so clean and puffy just like home, the colors of the room were great. Location is great. The only two things I didn’t like was the shampoo and conditioner had a bad smell. And they might’ve fixed the problem but when you flush the toilet he water would go up to high. Probably a problem only in my room. But put that aside this place was a catch, this hotel I would think would be over $150. This is the best place we stayed at so far on our trip. It will not disappoint you. For this price it’s a steal.
