Acropolis Ami Hotel is the best choice among all boutique hotels in Athens. It has the perfect location(next to subway station) , very close to Athens main archeological sights and shopping district. Although being central, hotel still maintains a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Morever, hotel personnel are very friendly and environment is clean and enjoyable
Location is great, a comfortable 10 minute walk from plenty of shops and restaurants. Taxi from the airport is a 40 minute drive and cost us €50. Hotel and our room was spotless, can not fault the cleanliness. Staff very friendly too. Lovely view from our balcony (our room was just a standard economy room). Rooftop bar was closed, I would assume due to possibly being out of season and/or covid restrictions, but we sat up there everyday with our own drinks. And the view up there at night was lovely too. However, what let us down was a few things inside our room. The shower door took two of us to open and close it. The hairdryer kept cutting out. The wardrobe was too tall for me so I could not reach my hung clothes (my partner had to get them for me but he even struggled). You would have to go and get the iron from reception if you wanted to use one (don't know if there is a charge for that). And you have to pay for the safe (never took notice of how much that was as quite frankly I found that disgusting). Housekeeping did not replace toilet roll, had to ask a few times at reception for that.…
This is a quaint little hotel just off the main street and up a little hill. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to just about all the major tourist attractions, including the Acropolis and Syntagma Square. It sits a few blocks from both the Sygrou-Fix and the Acropolis metro stations, and I made the walk to Syntagma to catch the Airport Express bus in about 20 minutes easily. The hotel itself is lovely with a rooftop bar with amazing views of the Acropolis. I stayed in a "comfort" room, which had a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom and small shower (no tub). It even had a nice little balcony overlooking the tiny street that the hotel sits on. The neighborhood is perfectly safe, even alone at 4 a.m. walking to the airport bus, and there are unlimited eating and shopping options within a short walk, including a 24-hour restaurant. The breakfast is your standard European fare - juices, meats, yogurt, breads - and they'll even pack you a to-go box if you ask in advance. I can't say enough nice things about the staff - they were exceptionally friendly and chatty - and all spoke fluent English (as did everyone in Athens to my surprise). I had both a/c and a radiator in my room, and of course the balcony doors for a breeze. The room also had a tiny TV with about a dozen satellite channels. There are six floors and luckily the hotel has a (tiny) lift. …
Based on the historical centre of Athens, we found an amazing view! It's very well localized, less than 5 min on foot away from metro station Syggrou-Fix The staff is soooo friendly, typical example of greek hospitality!! Highly recommended !
