Booked only a day in advance as we left Cyprus to Greece to beat quarantine. We got an excellent deal, assuming being off season. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful both before stay on email and during on reception. We were offered welcome tea or coffee to be ready for us on arrival. Neither my fiancé or I like them so asked for juice or water which were both in the fridge ready for us on arrival, complimentary. We got the corner suite on 6th floor. Very spacious room, everything you could need. Cleaned daily, felt very high quality, very impressed. Unfortunately the air conditioning started to leak one night about midnight and the emergency light fell in. We rung reception who were very apologetic and helpful, we got moved rooms and they offered both that night and the next day to help us move our things between rooms. Fantastic location, able to walk everywhere. We got breakfast boxes 2 mornings, lots of different options incliding gluten free. At 10 euros, we found them to be great value as they came with 2 drinks and enough food for breakfast and some left over for snacks later in the day. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Athens.…
We spent 5 nights towards the end of October. The corner suite on the top floor is spacious and very clean with a big comfortable bed. We didn't use the kitchen but were grateful for the fridge. We pre-paid for the breakfast boxes which are substantial-more than you can eat really. However no milk, but we did get some when we asked the night before. Nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff so thank you Vassilis, Vicky and Claire! The metro is only 2 minutes' walk away but you could easily walk to Plaka, the Acropolis, Syntagma Square etc. Despite being on the top floor the room was noisy even with the windows closed; they didn't seem to seal very well. The aircon was rather ineffective even when set to the lowest possible temperature. Everything was very clean and all staff wore masks, so it felt very safe. Would definitely return despite the small negative points.…
We had a great week here. Great location, near to the metro but easily walkable to most of the landmarks. Great welcome on arrival, hand sanitiser station at the front door. All staff wear masks. Felt very safe. Modern boutique style, we had a corner suite which had a sitting area, a small dining area with a compact kitchenette area, fridge, microwave, kettle, small hob, coffee maker, toastie maker, (crockery removed during the pandemic, but disposable cups and cutlery provided fresh daily). Airy and spacious , I loved that we could get the 2 full size sliding windows, (double glazed so lovely and quiet when closed, important in this central location, and glad that we had a high floor), fully open each day to change the air in the room, but there is very effective AC for overnight. Room serviced each day with tea and coffee making provided, and it was lovely to come back each afternoon to a shiny clean room. Many hotels only service on request these days so this was a nice surprise. Shower room modern with high spec fittings. Plenty of hot water and lovely strong water pressure in the shower which took us by surprise first day, so be careful! The reception team took the time to get to know us during our stay and were able to advise on travel arrangements etc. We were very grateful also for the room extension which enabled us to shower and change before setting off for the airport. We felt we were among friends here and were genuinely sorry to leave. …
My husband and I recently stayed at the NLH Fix this past February and the hotel exceeded our expectations. First, the room is huge for European and even American standards with a hidden kitchenette, separate sitting area and table. The bathroom was not my favorite because of the shower doors and it was a bit small. They don't have a restaurant on property but you can pre-order breakfast the night before and it was great, $10 Euros and a lot of food. The location was better than we realized once we ventured out - we were so close to so many restaurants and also most of the ruins you want to see - Acropolis and museum, Temple of Apollo, the market area, literally everything. The staff was friendly and super helpful with arranging transportation for us and suggesting great restaurants. Definitely stay here, it's small, great hotel.…
This hotel has got a fabulous location, really spacious, comfortable well-designed rooms with a really clever hidden kitchenettes, great cleaners, and last but not least incredibly helpful and friendly young front desk staff. The location could hardly be closer to Syggrou-Fix metro station, there is a taxi rank nearby (but you might be better advised to get the hotel book a taxi to and from the airport, our drive back to the airport was excellent). You can easily walk to the Acropolis museum and onward to the Plaka or Thisseo. But for eating you have plenty of choice- almost too much!- very close by. I had read in the Washington Post that Koukaki was an up and coming area and boy was the 'local guide' right. The corner suite rooms are enormous and the avenue ones even bigger! The large beds are very comfortable indeed (the sofa beds much less so - our son slept with on this the first night but as he was uncomfortable and we loved the hotel we booked him into an avenue suite). I am a light sleeper but was not annoyed by the inevitable noise in our fifth floor corner suite. (The advantage of being on a main avenue is that the traffic is more of a background hum. ) True there are no public areas, not even a breakfast room, but that did not bother us in the slightest. The quality of the rooms and the location more than made up for these absences. This is the second time in 6 months we have stayed in a newish hotel in Greece that exceeded our high expectations. The Greek tourist offer has, I think improved over the last 10 years. But I don't want to diminish in any way the work of the owners, managers, designers and staff of this particular hotel. The credit is to them.…
