Overall, it was a very good experience. Mike (owner) had dinner with us every evening. He is a local person and very knowledgeable regarding Belize. Hors d'oeuvres and meals were excellent. Meals served family style. The rooms were pleasant and the grounds lovely. This was a fly fishing trip with a friend and after five days of fishing, we had...

We came here for a week with a fishing group. We were very impressed with how easily it was to fly to Belize City and get from the airport to the lodge. We were met and driven to a boat, which took us to the lodge. It took 20 min max total time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable....

I can not say enough about this place. Top Notch!! The entire trip was fantastic. The property is meticulously groomed and taken care of. The staff were what made the trip. Family style meals with the other guests to share fishing stories. We used their rental fishing gear. All great equipment. High end stuff. The guides were knowledgable and very...

Enjoyed a repeat visit to BRL for fly-fishing. Between the rivers, flats, and reef, I fished a wonderfully diverse fishery for bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and jacks. Superb guides, great food, and easy logistics. It is an impeccably-run operation. I’ll be back!

Lovely lodge for fishing. Food is superb. Cabins are spacious and clean and each verandah has a hammock. Great staff and superior service! Just five minutes from airport but feels as if you have journeyed way into the interior. Beautiful trees and wildlife all around.

We had an awesome visit to Belize. The BRL staff picked us up at the airport and took us to the Lodge where we were able to enjoy a beverage and beautiful scenery. We then stayed on the Long Caye Outpost, which was simply beautiful. Great food, and great fishing. We stayed an entire week with guided fishing each day....

I have been to the Belize River Lodge multiple times and have found the fishing in the area to be consistently the best - if you like variety. There are few Caribbean destinations where you can leave your house in the US in the early morning and be landing a tarpon by noon but this Lodge allows you to do...

I am a fly fisherman so upfront, that is my bias. This was my fifth trip to Belize in two years and up to this point I had absolutely loved it, hence my frequent returns. I had been to ambergris caye three times and turneffe atoll once. I'll try and keep it short- Rooms - very basic, no bells, no...

“The lodge has accommodation for 16 total anglers so all the rooms are river front. There is NO bad room.”

“The main lodge is on the Rover, which is conducive to more tarpon and snook fishing. The outpost provided unparalleled action on all species, but it is much more remote. We enjoyed the break from reality.”
