My husband and I visited Sugar Ridge for 6 nights, doubling my Aveda reward points. We also extended for one night on our own. We were in Room #4 which had great views of the pool, the harbor, and had a wonderful plunge pool. We...More
Do not book if you are expecting luxury. We booked to stay at Sugar Ridge from Boxing Day for a week. We had to move hotels after a few nights as it was so terrible. This also sounded like a regular occurrence.
This hotel is...More

I'll start off by letting you know my wife has mobility issues, and is on crutches for most of her days. Right off the bat, we were upgraded to a room at the top of the ridge, a room with a view of Jolly Harbor,...More
This is my second time staying at Sugar Ridge Resort, and I really would not stay anywhere else. This time I did something different , and got the all-inclusive plan, and it was 100% worth it. Breakfast lunch and dinner was amazing, and when you...More

In regards to being pestered. I hate to admit it, but I had a similar experience on Jolly Harbor beach with the guy who rented me the chairs. I gave him $20, Im ok with that.He (Tito)hung out and was super friendly, but as the day went on, I began to feel like I was his mark. I couldnt go to the sh!tter without him chasing after me and asking things like "So...whats the plan?" I wanted to tell him my plans were none of his buisness, but I didnt want to be a jerk. He wouldnt leave us alone after awhile, just sitting in a chair behind us, complaining when my wife gave $5 to a guy for some aloe vera. Then when my wife bought a conch from some crackhead who was wandering the beach, he demanded to know how much she gave ol' Cracky. So just to poop in his own drawers, I told him $50, and he freaked out, and that was when I decided to leave. It was a abrupt end to a otherwise perfect day on a perfect beach and that little episode left a sour taste in my mouth fro the rest of the trip, and I found myself becoming rude to the people who demanded things from me. Just wanted to chime in here on this topic. Thanks a lot Tito, you jerk. If you want money, go work in the resorts and stop hanging around the grown ups peddling on the bridge.
