Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is celebrated for its extensive amenities that cater especially well to children, although some guests have encountered overcrowding at breakfast and the pool. The resort's atmosphere divides opinion; the energetic vibe and music enchant many, but others prefer a quieter setting. Praise is consistent for the resort's cleanliness, with well-kept rooms and facilities enhancing stays.
Service is generally lauded as friendly and professional, though not without occasional lapses. However, the value proposition is contentious, with guests criticizing the high costs and extra fees. The rooms win acclaim for their comfort and space, but peak season bookings can lead to check-in frustrations.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed for 2 nights in the beach front villa. Loved the place, design, spacious, fantastic breakfast, modern and well equipped facilities including gym, game room, rope park, water slides. One suggestion - need to work with the staff, level or English is very poor, as well as the service mentality. One example - we booked one bedroom villa for 4 people to find a king bed and one set of towels. Took 30 min to resolve arguing about charges for extra beds and an error with booking.com which they were going to fix rather then fixing the situation and just bring extra beds. At the end - all resolved to the full satisfaction, but took some effort. Also, some small stuff: conditioner and shampoo bottles were nearly empty (could be easily checked as part or room cleaning), ordering room service was very difficult due to the language barrier (and online option did not allow any customization). The place is a month old, so pretty sure just teething problems. Highly recommend.

Dear romka1975, Thank you for sharing a very constructive feedback about your recent stay at the Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh. I were pleased to learn that you like your villa and the resort in general. Your concern about issues such as English level of the staff, I would like to advise that we do have an English teacher onside to help our staff improve their English each day. Your feedback about flexibility in service has been taken seriously for immediate improvement. I do hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh on your next trip you can have the best moment with us. Kind regards Andy Phan

The strong points:
• The resort is nicely designed and nicely landscaped.
• The fit-out of the villas is excellent – plenty of space, small kitchen, even a laundry machine. Its high quality and functional, similar to InterContinental Phu Quoc,
• 4 waterslides for kids
• The rope course is a great family activity. Levels 0 and 1 and suitable for small kids, and levels 2 and 3 suitable for larger kids.
• They have a lot of other facilities like tennis court, badminton court, football field, etc.
• Very nice beach with nice sand, with clean water and very little trash on beach. However the waves are powerful so you can’t go far out into the water and there aren’t much water activities.
• I like the food quality, including the breakfast buffet and also the dinner restaurants, however, as mentioned below the service quality was poor. The Quattro Fromagi pizza at Tropicana restaurant is excellent. Chubeli is a Swiss style restaurant which is a nice experience, and its nice that they have some craft beer there.
• 5 minutes from Cam Ranh airport and it is well located for various day trips – for example we went to Kong Forest and also to VinWonders Amusement Park.
The opportunities for improvements:
Although the staff is very friendly, as is common throughout Vietnam, they are clearly very understaffed and the negative impact on service levels is much worse than other resorts at which we’ve stayed since Covid-19 started. For example:
• Our minibar was never restoked for the entire 5-night duration of our visit.
• Housekeeping sometimes came late, one day only around 5:00 p.m. Turndown service happened occasionally.
• The dinner service at the restaurants was slow and chaotic. For example, it might take 15 minutes to get your drink. The staff were running around and trying hard, but they seemed overwhelmed and undertrained, and therefore didn’t really have the time to pay attention to what was going on what the tables.
A few other issues
• The Vikoda bottled water in the rooms is extremely difficult to get the caps off;
• When the keycard is removed from the holder, the electrical sockets all turn off, so anything you want to recharge will not be recharging when you are not in your room. This was frequently an inconvenience.

Overall The resort is beautiful and clean. The public swimming fool and the beach are super clean. I saw staff cleaned the pool daily and pick up trash on the beach
The decorations are nice. There are many spots and views to take picture; suitable for taking Instagram and family photos.
Services:
are the pretty good. I arrive early in the morning and they let me check in after an hour
All the staff I met are nice and professional (I think they were trained pretty well)
The life guard at the beach were professional. They stayed until we left the beach even that was after 6pm ( their shift ended at 6pm)
Food:
It was not localized. The Vietnamese food tasted like European food( tasteless, only eat with pepper and salt)
The beach: it is beautiful, clean and had 3 colors

Pool: super clean, life guard and towel pick up station were everywhere, very convince

Room: the room (hotel + studio) the bed and pillow were super comfortable. The room is big and clean
Cons
The hotel is far away from the beach :(
The food
Tips:
1. If u want to visit Cam Ranh go to downtown, swimming in the pool+ water park + beach , take photo u have to stay at least 3 nights.
2. Try u best to come to cam ranh early in the morning u will have more time.

Recently stay for 3days2nights , since it’s in opening phase, believe many of the staff still need training . Front office staff didn’t share the shuttle buses schedule and show us the map of resorts. I need to approach the counter after checkin for those details. But still, they didn’t let us know the shuttle bus need reservation in advance. So on the next day I have to pay by myself for the transportation to city centre since the bus is fully reserved...and they have no alternative solution for us. Obviously there are some other hotel guests in the same situation.
When you do booking, pls make sure you are ok with the studio room, since it’s in a residential building which is not in the hotel main building. You won’t feel like staying in a 5 star resorts or hotel with their crude setting. No bath tubs, broken light switch. I think the one I stay in city center below 40USD/night is even better. So if you are staying in movenpick and look for the experience of staying in a resorts or hotel, studio room is definitely not an option.
About the F&B, there is 3 restaurants but the variety of food choice is limited and quite expensive compare to other resorts nearby. I planned to stay in Mövenpick for whole 3 days for all activities n food. But it’s not possible. I end up to have breakfast, lunch n dinner in the same restaurant.
For recreation activities, except gym and pool all other facilities need extra charges and actually not much selection. Unlike other resorts with a lots of daily activities for their guest to join. Here have nothing ...and it’s another reason why i can’t stay in the hotel for whole 3 days.
I guess movenpick is designed for families with kids. There are well designed kids pool and slides.
I’m not sure is it because we are not coming during summer season, the resorts is deserted and you can only feel there is nothing to do and nothing good to eat.
I think they have the potential to do better with their hardware but really need to think of how to create the vibe that make people feel like to spend more time in the resorts area.

Dear Snd_Fung, Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. I am disappointed to read that there were many areas that did not meet your expectation. First of all I would like to apologizes that the staff didn't communicate verbally to you on check in about the shuttle bus service to Nha Trang, however we do prepare a welcome letter to all guests on check in about this service as well as showing on the TV in your room, I am terribly that you still missed out this information. As you mentioned that we are family friendly hotel so we have multiple options for guest to choose their accommodation's need such as: Villas, hotel rooms and residential building and of course the price will be different for each category and cater for different needs and I am sorry to see that you didn't book for what you need for your trip. And the same with accommodation, we have 7 food and beverage outlets within the resort to cater for all guest's need such as all day international buffet restaurant, Chubeli restaurant caters Swiss and German food and beer, and Tropicana which caters for seafood, Asian and Western food lover, again I am sorry that we did not meet your taste requirement. In regards to activities in the resort, we have a very large selection of activities compare to our competitors such as water sport activities, the only one Rope park in Cam Ranh, and all other sport activities for kids and adults. However we failed to meet your expectation so I sincerely apology. Once again thank you for your feedback, this will help us to improve our products and service. I do hope that we will have another chance to welcome you back to Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh. Kind regards Andy Phan Director of Rooms

+1
Booked a hotel room for 1 night as found amazing Red Hot deal for Accor Plus member and i ended up amended booking for whole family to stay at 3 BR pool villa. The villa itself was amazing, it was first time our family stayed in a pool villa and Resort was really kind to upgrade me to Beach Front villa even though upgrade doesnt include villa. We really enjoyed the privacy and comfort staying in this villa until after all of us finished shower just to found out there was only 1 hair dryer for 3 bath rooms with 5 guests staying. Leave asided the face resort doesnt provide enough hair dryer in villa, i contacted front desk to ask if i can get 2 more to meet 1 per bathroom. It was really surprised to hear from 1 female FO that it was the standard and they can only provide only if the only hairdryer was missing and that i couldn't request more. She even suggested i should pass that only hair dryer to the others once finish. I meant..that answer for Villa guest and Gold member??? My girlfriend later tried her luck to ask HK staff when he/ she brought chocolate to our room and was given 1 extra hair dryer. I was thinking what if i asked for extra pillows or towels given each room was only provided certain amount of them?
Next morning, we was facing water outage which is the first time i ever experienced in any hotels or resorts. What even worse was that 2 people was in restroom and we were not informed in advance. I contacted Front desk and was told it would be fixed within 30 mins so we left for the pool and was thinking it would be fixed later. When we came back from pool, and almost checked out time, the water resumed working and then shut down again. Contacted front desk again and was advised to bring our clothes to take shower at pool bathroom. We ended up checked out without showering.
Given the location, only food option is within the resort but seemed menu have been reduced during Covid-19. The menu at Tropicana looked like the one at street vendors and the prices were expensive compare to the portion and quality. Juice at breakfast was also can not real juice. The only highlight was Swiss beer house, we love the food there, my mom doesnt like sausage but after having meal there, she asked to go back just to enjoy the food. It was disappointing beer house only open from 4pm on Fri - Sun.
One last thing is AC in the villa, while the living equipped with very strong AC, the other 3 bedrooms was quite warm even we left the AC on at 17 oC whole day.
Overall, given those disappointment, we decided to go back 1 month later as the deal still there and we love that the whole family can share moments together at these great villa. I am not so sure if at regular price, i would stay here if the service is not fixed.

This is my second visit to Movenpick Cam Ranh because my children really wanted to come here, mainly due to the 4 water slides. The positives here are: nice facilities, large villas and very nice white sandy beach.
But this hotel is so incompetently managed, so far below the standards you would expect for an international chain, that there are just too many inconveniences that get in the way of fully enjoying.
Every day we were here, housekeeping didn’t come until 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and even then only did a partial job like making the beds and changing the towels. They didn’t remove dirty dishes from room service, tidy up various items in the villa, and certainly didn’t check or restock the mini-bar items and things like coffee pods. If you want any of that restocked, you need to call guest services.
Many things in our room were broken or didn’t work including the TV remote, the mini-safe, one of the phones, and there was a nail coming out of the floor in one place.
Finally, the food at the restaurants here is poor and the service is very poorly trained and chaotic. Even the breakfast buffet is uninspired and just boring. It seems like the staff have been working here just for a few days. Two nights ago we discovered the Radison Blu Lobster restaurant just next to Movenpick, which had well-trained attentive service and food quality which is so superior to Movenpick. So it shows that it is possible to meet a much higher standard in Cam Ranh than what Movenpick is delivering.
It really sad to see such a nice property be so undermanaged like this.
Next time in Nha Trang, we will head back to Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, which is so much more well managed than this.

We stay 3 nights in a villa in the resort. It's during covid period and also a rainy season. The reason is a nicely designed and clean. The beach should be beautiful if sunny. Due to covid, we asked to borrow 3 books for the kids to read in the room instead of the kid club given the crowd of the kids club. The staff in charge at the kid club insisted in refuse and said they have never done earlier. After i told her given the covid distancing to be recommended plus rainy season and cold wind while the kids can't do
Mich with swimming, the resort should be flexible and allow it. They can record which room borrow it and allow a time frame for the guest to return the books. If any loss or damage of the book, they can charge to the room. After hearing me, the staff to talked to her Manager. After considering, the Manager told me again this is a very exception that first time they do, and they require me to give them a downpayment of VND100,000. Which guest in a 5 star bring cash around in the resort! Recording into the room is not sufficient for then to monitor the 3 small books we asked for. This downpayment in cash make the resort not deserving to a 5 star resort. What a poor client experience!

Dear huongb995, Thank you very much for taking time to share your experience about your recent stay with us. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectation. I do understand your case however for all guests' convenience so some procedures are in place to help us run the service more efficiently and fairly to all customers. I have also checked with the kid club team about your case and there was some flexibility as you mentioned above as well as options from Kid club manager to assist you however these assistances were not enough so on behalf of the team I would like to offer my apology. I do hope to have another chance to welcome you back to Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh soon. Kind Regards Andy Phan Director of Rooms

Stayed here for more than a week during very quiet times. Was able to do some work during the day while enjoying the spacious and modern villas with private pool. Staff is very friendly, flexible and service minded and definitely very positive. The resort is huge, so during covid times it is very quiet (I think if it would be full it can easily have 1500 guests), but the grounds are kept immaculate and are very beautiful and very green. There is nothing to do outside the hotel, but that's fine, you come here to enjoy the villas and there are plenty of facilities if you come with friends or family, such as multiple pools (with slides) tennis courts, rope course and more. Very kid friendly as well. The beach is beautiful too, though too windy during my recent stay. The restaurant on site is quite good. I enjoyed the food, even though some of the portions were very small for the price. This was only so for some of the seafood dishes, the meat dishes were fine, portion wise. A plus is that prices are displayed including service charge and tax, a nice detail.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay here very much and I am definitely going to return.

Good choice for family, especially with kids.some service close as Covid-19, but resort keep good service and suitable activities for guest. we wish that could stay longer.
thanks Movenpick for late check out that make our kids extend more time with sea.
this is second stay, but we still plan for next stay. Food is excellent ( breakfast and dinner) . The resort is cover by green of natural, make us feel relax
Especially, if you are an Accor plus member, just go there and get your benefits.
only one thing, you need to pay fee to borrow cutlery( dish, spoon, chopstick....), it's ok if you dont buy resort dishes, even we order food for kid, i think resort should give plate, fork enough for kids. however it's not a problem for all other things.

Wrote a review directly to Accor but did not get a reply so I thought I would post it here.
Stayed here towards the End of the Tet Holidays and it was a big mistake. The hotel was very full due to the peak travel season which is understandable but that seems to be their excuse to be lousy at everything else.
The F&B is the biggest joke in this establishment. The food quality is terrible and below par in all the restaurants EXCEPT for the German restaurant where the food was good but the reservation system completely flawed. If u make a booking there say at 8pm even if u are there at 7pm they won't let u sit even u tell them u will certainly be out by 8pm. They prefer to keep the table empty. Only when we say another family leave, we tell the wait staff if we can occupy the table did they agree. Completely hopeless. The Chefs should be sent back to culinary school. Breakfast was terrible, they had juice served in pathetic shot glasses. Biggest joke was the Caucasian head chef standing around the breakfast buffet smiling while terrible food was being served. Better spend more time in the kitchen.
On the last night of our stay the hot water in the hotel was not working and we had 12 hours of no hot water despite the hotel staff coming to our rooms multiple times to "try and fix" only for them to come back and say "System is overloaded due to heavy capacity". Went to the front desk the next morning to complain to the front office manager directly. Surprise surprise he is not there. Left my number for him to call me back. Never did.
Upon checkout staff did not even bother to ask how was my stay. Better to bugger off so they can get the next guest in.
The only saving grace for this place is the pool and the beach. However u can be sure I will never be back to this lousy place.
