The hotel manager Kurt was extremely helpful and genuine whenever we ran into him. He would make it a point to ask how our day was and what our plans were to see how he could help. He was also very accommodating with certain requests we had being vegetarian. I would say we would not have rated 10/10 if it wasn’t for his actions. Also would like to mention separately that Mr. Ngo at the Blue Lobster was another pleasant interaction we had. He would always make a point to strike up a conversation while we were there and make us feel welcome. He had some good tips to share about Cam Ranh as well and also aimed to please whenever we came by for dinner. Hope to meet both Mr Kurt and Ngo again soon when we return. Apologies for the long review however I believe it’s important to include it all!! We were really looking forward to a relaxing couple of days (2 nights) in Cam Ranh after the hustle and bustle in Ho Chi Minh City. We spoilt ourselves with the room choice although expensive we thought it was worth it. Pros Beachside pool villa We booked the beachside pool villa which was beautiful with the exception of broken outdoor chairs and exactly as the pictures except for the weather which is of course no reflection on the hotel. Buggy and room service staff The staff that picked us up in buggys and delivered room service were very helpful and friendly. Hot water didn’t work in villa but was fixed quickly by the engineer getting in the roof. Cons Restaurant and bars - see photos The website boasts 6 restaurants and bars plus room service, this is false advertising and misleading there is actually 2 restaurants, the executive lounge, 3 bars all with the exact same menu just different venue names. The restaurants and bars are only open on very limited certain days / times of the week the beach bar was not open Mon- Wed at any time of year (this is not advertised anywhere until check in again misleading) leaving very minimal options and the executive lounge is not opened until midday and only serves drinks for one hour per day 5-6pm. Room service is not offered for breakfast, this is not mentioned on the website again only notified upon checkin. The menu offered is the same in any bar / restaurant including room service, the only menu that Is different is the seafood restaurant. In fact no menus are on the website except for the Blu Lobster in comparison to other resorts and hotels. We ate next door at movenpick which had numerous options as well as venues, the staff were also much more welcoming even though they knew we were not staying at their resort. They also mentioned we are not the first guests from Radisson to come in and prefer their property some even cancelled their current bookings and changed over to Movenpick. Breakfast We were asked for our room number at the desk then just left standing there as the staff walked away we were not seated at a table, we were not offered coffee, we were not shown or advised of the egg station. Found it later at the end. The napkins on the tables were worn thin and looked dirty. Very limited food options for westerners. We could understand the lack of attention if it was busy however it was not. Staff uniforms Numerous staff had ripped and worn uniforms. I felt sorry for them. Activities There were no indoor activities. This is not the first time Cam Ranh has experienced rain and a resort should cater activities for when it’s raining. When I enquired with reception in what activities or options there are available I was recommended to “read a book” however not offered any books! The beach The beach umbrellas were falling apart the tops in tatters and there were no staff at all however next door Movenpick had a few staff down by the beach with umbrellas in top condition the staff were attentive for their guests when the weather cleared up for a short period so guests could enjoy the beach. Room Service Not offered for breakfast. Exact same menu as other venues throughout the property. We were so disappointed with this experience that even though our flight was delayed we checked out anyway. On checkout I expressed my disappointment in the lack of facilities open, the breakfast, the lack of menus and the lack of activities. I was advised that activities would be on later in the week, there was no real response to the lack of menu choices and facilities other than a few excuses and blaming this time of the year. Some of the excuses just weren’t true! The excuse of the umbrellas where due to storm however next door at Movenpick they were all like new and I have since noticed other reviews that also mentioned restaurants and bars being closed throughout all different times of the year. Due to the complaint the front office manager waived our room service charges which was not expected although appreciated and she appeared as though they were taking it seriously however then the manager then asked me to remove my original Tripadvisor post as it would discourage other western guests to stay there, I agreed to edit it not remove so this is my edited post. The only conclusion that we can come up with is that the manager/ owner of Radisson Blu Cam Ranh is trying to cut costs which they may believe they are doing however they are loosing money on guests spending their money at other resorts like we did. They also will loose revenue from return guests that will stay elsewhere. Some tips for improvement: - Have different menus at different venues - Have the executive lounge open for breakfast and not just one hour of drinks or don’t have an executive lounge at all. - Offer room service for breakfast - If you have advertised on your website 6 restaurants and bars have them open or advertise that they are only open limited times / days of the week - Have some indoor activities for rain E.G games room, indoor ping pong, air hockey, pool table, indoor putting, books available, cooking class to mention a few. I did notice in one of the closed bars there was a pool table and 1 table soccer game - Room entry gets flooded in the rain maybe have a small wooden bridge that can be put over entrance of villa so you don’t need to walk through water to enter your room Unfortunately this was definitely not a 5 star resort stay!! Movenpick next door rooms are the same, has more facilities and meal choices and is slightly cheaper in cost. Radisson Blu Cam Ranh does not uphold its reputation. If we were staying longer we would have moved across to Movenpick even if we had to forfeit our current booking cost.…

We found the food quality and taste need to improved in Blu Lobster restaurant. May be can add more local food choices, Let customer feel more about Vietnam. The taste of Pizza is not so nice and also no mach choices. The food in main lobby is good, especially the Saturaday night Sea food buffet. The Live Band is great. We really enjoy their singing. The accommodation/rooms were great although pretty disappointed in the food. For a resort this size, it really needs at least one if not two more places to eat. Having food included wasn’t worth it and I assume local eateries would provide better value and variety. While the Buffet offered ‘theme nights’, it wasn’t that much variety. The Blu Lobster Restaurant didn’t have that much variety compared to the buffet.

I'll stay at Radisson Blu agian if i visit Nha Trang. Very close to the airport, within 8mins, Quiet atmosphere, Kind staffs, city shuttle bus, and pools and beach. Even the water is warm? yeh warm, not enought time to cool down over the night, you can feel relaxed and refreshed.

Thumbs up from all family members. My parents and I stayed at a beachfront pool villa for three nights and didn't want to leave. My dad said he wanted to go again once every month. The villa, the pool, the breakfast, the sunrise seen from the bed, the bathtub, the garden, the executive lounge are all superb! And the proximity to the beautiful beach is unbeatable! I am going back in August, but too bad all the villas are fully booked :(

Comfortable and luxurious hotel with a great sea view, in which there is everything for a satisfying stay. We had some minor problems with the air conditioning in the room, but they were quickly fixed as well as other small issues. The room had a creaking floor and it was a little annoying. Especially I want to mention the service from the young lady Pham, who works at the reception and helped me with the delivery of flowers for my wife's birthday, as well as helped us with all the questions that arise. Thanks for the rest. I hope to come back again!
