Fabulous location, not easy to find (minimal signage typical of Greece). Constructed of beautiful building materials. Water system is on a well so it is not always reliable. Had trouble with booking arrangements, booked and paid for one accomodation and put in a different one. Proprietor made good on the sacrifice we took which was wonderful. Used a different booking... First I had to get over the heartstopping experience of driving from Chania to Livadia. We were only pushed to the roadside by one of the large coaches returning with day trippers from Elephonisis to Chania and only had our wing mirror clipped once by a speeding local - quite an experience, would recommend you do not drive at night!... Beautiful luxury rooms in villas, any villa has 4 rooms that share a massive kitchen fully furnished and living room and a swimming pool, sea view of course! 12 min to reach elafonissi beach. I just would like to stay there again!

Booked the room via telephone, excellent location, the room was superb, the hospitality of Lefteris was excellent, the dinner was divine. The only flaw we found there was n't any breakfast and the pool water was really cold.

Just when you think you have seen all the best of Crete, and suddenly end up in this corner of the island, you realize that until now you have missed the best. Beautifully located on the hill, right over the sea, this is the diamond of all accommodations I've ever seen. Gorgeus villas, all with their different character and design,... More

The staff at Amygdalia are amazing - they can't do enough for you. I can't say I enjoyed the road to Livadia - from Kissamos then expect very narrow roads. The road down to the Taverna at Livadia has a lot of hairpin bends and should not be done at night. The welcome at the end of the journey is... More

Getting to this hotel requires a car rental and a fairly lengthy drive, but we felt it was worth it! Very close to several famous beaches. Dinner at the hotel was great and very affordable. Staff was very accommodating.

It's a beautiful, picturesque complex of luxurious villas, built as part of the wild scenery of southern Crete and not as a modern monstrosity. The owners, friendly and hospitable are also offering great local dishes, which is a must for a memorable stay! The landscape, with the huge variety of flowers and green that surround the villas, will make you... More

We stayed in July 2015, in a 2 bed luxury villa. Beautiful facilities. We used it as a base to visit the wonderful beach at Elafonisi, so that we didn't have to keep driving back to Chania. The Taverna attached was fabulous, very simple, well cooked food. The chef agreed to cook us fish one night, which was beautiful. The... More
