Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed 3 nights in this gem, wished we stayed more. The sunsets were sensational, birdlife amazing and the amenities were far nicer than some of the big name franchises I’ve stayed in. John the proprietor was a laugh and very helpful. Great fishing nearby, great tariffs and have a fire no problem. Can’t wait to return

The 4g Telstra tower had just commissioned. The service is better than what I get here in Cairns. Plenty of bandwidth so super fast internet. It is just another thing that adds to the attraction of this place. Catch a Barra just a short walk to the Norman river

I had never heard of this place until one of our travelling companions pulled it up on Wikicamps and we thought we would give it a go. Eight dollars per person per night for an unpowered site with kids from 10-14 half price. Plenty of room, hot, clean showers and a fantastic sunset over the lagoon. Great vantage point for cheese and bubbly! The morning scene is just as beautiful with a myriad of bird life.

If you are there on a Saturday night and arrive early enough to book, the adjoining homestead puts on three course dinner for six dollars a head! Unfortunately we arrived too late and it was booked out, but the returning diners siad they had an amazing night.

Definitely put this one on your list. It's a great over-nighter when travelling (as we were) from Adels Grove to Cobbold Gorge, but it would also be an excellent base camp for those taking in the fishing at Karumba.

Dog friendly, generators allowed. Friendly managers. Loved it.

We only stayed overnight but we found the campground clean and spacious. Nice quiet campground near a large lagoon. Easy to find and well sign posted on the Savannah Way. Clean amenities and the staff were friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommend.

This lovely little camp site is 20km out of Normanton on the way to Croydon. The pitches all face a wonderful billabong or lake. Loads of different birds, roos and wallabies and a stunning sunset over the lake. There is a wonderful shower/loo block which is painted in the most attractive illustrations of frogs and birds.
We loved it, even the frogs in the loos hoping that you don't put the lids down! We sat and admired the wildlife and the sunset before lighting a little fire in the supplied fire ring.
What a wonderful place to stay!

Miłe miejsce w okolicach Normantona. Dużo ptactwa wodnego, ładne zachody słońca z widokiem na jezioro. Prysznice w małych ilościach i niezbyt ciekawie wyglądające. Jedna umywalka na cały camping. Miejsca campingowe płaskie
