I was nervous after reading some of the previous reviews, however many are old and reflect the motel standard with the previous owner. Standard, clean, comfortable rooms. Comfy bed, cold aircon, swimming pool and breakfast available. Ticked all the right boxes. The owners are a young couple who are really going out of their way to make this a great...

Unfortunately we broke down in Normanton and the roadside assistance booked us into this motel for two nights. The room itself was simple and basic but I found that the reception staff and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond their call of duty.

Great value for money ! The new owner bent over backwards to get us a room with a kitchenette, which was well equipped and had everything we needed. Clean , comfortable and great if you are staying for an extended period. We really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be back next year. Thank you for your great hospitality !

The room was very clean and had all I needed for a short stay. The room is dark but still adequate. The onsite manager went out of her way to assist me with breakfast provisions as I did not know the restaurant doesn't open daily. I will stay here again if I come back to Normanton.

Camped overnight in our camper trailer, had a great spot in the paddock down the back. Although not too much shade, was still great. Able yo sit and enjoy watching the sun go down over the trees at the back. Wallabies, came out to greet us and woke up to the birds in the morning. Amenities were lovely, rustic and...

Nice place, but currently very dry and dusty - not their fault but the lack of rain. We had a very open site because nothing else was available. Book early to get shade. Amenities OK but not great. The beer and prawn night was terrific value - buy a beer (or wine) for $3.50 and get 6-7 freshly cooked prawns,...

We found the rooms were such great value we got two! The room was well equipped and the caravan park behind also looked good. I also used the pool which was clean and very relaxing. Would certainly stay again

Owner/manager not coping and is unhelpful and aggressive when we asked about the nearest laundry. Cleaning staff told us to move our 'crap' and go to hell. Rooms clean and tidy. Central location. Don't use the driveway closest to the cemetery as owner gets angry.

Gulfland Motel in Normanton has cheap rates. They only supplied two bath towels so we had to ask for hand towel , bathmat and tea towel as well as milk. When we booked some months prior we were told they had restaurant on site but when we arrived we were told it does not open on Fridays, and Saturday nights....
