Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. Hotel has lots of amenities and activities and is very well located to enjoy local area.
Whole place is very tired although that does not detract from the comfort and enjoyment. Well priced, this hotel is functional rather than a boutique or resort.

Boavista Hotel has great potential but has no maintenance and is outdated. The rooms are very simple and spacious. It was clean. The staff needs to be more motivated. The breakfast room was not elegant and the variety and quantity was limited. The food wasn't attractive. It is ok for a night. The surroundings are very beautiful. It is near Castro Laboreiro, where there is a very beautiful waterfall. The scenery is amazing!

Large hotel. Clean room, nice bathroom, view on the pool or the vineyards. Breakfast is decent with common elements; cheese, ham, bread, cereals, juice, coffee.

The staff did not speak English at the time i visited but my portuguese should be better to start with!

Simple but very nice hotel with the possibility of using the pool during the summer months. Spacious and nice rooms. Cleanliness impeccable, friendly staff and always available. Varied breakfast that allows you to choose different feeding styles

Living in Porto we often make trips to the beautiful Minho region. This is a very rural area. but no shortage of places to stay. The Hotel Boavista is in the small village of Peso near to Melgaso. It is a tradition Portuguese hotel, with all the comfort you could wish for. Lovely friendly reception staff who seemed very pleased to welcome us. Even though they do not speak a lot of English, there is no problem. Our room in the newer part of the hotel, was large, with great views of the area and overlooking the huge swimming pool, also very large bright bathroom and fast internet connection.
Next to the hotel is a park with a spa, being restored to its former glory, here you can drink the water which is said to cure your aches and pains. A truly wonderful place.
