Good place to stay
Lots of luxury touches, particularly comfortable bed and linen. We were surprised none of the reviews mentioned it was on a busy main road, opposite a Metro station. Despite double glazing and curtains it was still noisy. Just ask for a quiet room at the back

Nice and comfortable stay
We very much enjoyed our stay - 2 nights - at O Poboa. The house was just renovated and made into the O Poboa guesthouse less than a year ago. Everything is new - with white and blue colours dominating. We had the room next to the small breakfast room on the first floor overlooking the garden area. Although street and metro station are directly on the other side it was very quiet, also in the night. The beds are very comfy, not too soft not too hard. The breakfast was tasty. As it was sunny we chose to have breakfast outside in the garden instead of ringing for the breakfast basket being brought to the room. Joana, the owner, is a very nice person.

Quiet night and clean room
We asked for a dinner recommendation and where to buy ice for a sore foot from walking on the Caminho all day. The host suggested two places that were both closed. Shouldn’t a host know these things for her guests. The bathroom sink drained constantly even though the plug was closed. Breakfast wasn’t served on time-we were told to come back in 10 minutes and then found other people were getting their breakfast. Also, lots of paper/plastic waste as breakfast was served in a hamper with disposable utensils and paper bags even though everyone ate right in the kitchen. Finally, the host served coffee in flasks while she made herself a lovely espresso from the espresso machine.
