The guest house is quaint and the attention to detail is special. Joanna is the best! She was so very helpful in every way! Take her suggestions! The breakfast was nice! I recommend you stay here if you head to Porto!
Ana and every other host at the hotel could not have been kinder. They are proud of Porto and want to showcase it. They wanted to hear about what we did and tours we went on to share with other clients. They were also kind enough to make us dinner reservations as well. The hotel is all stone and wood and lovely. The bathrooms are huge and quite modern and local amenities! The air conditioning worked well and we thought the street might be loud but it wasn't at all. The wooden shutters did a great job of keeping both noise and light out in the evening. We also had a very small balcony which was nice in the evening. We were in room 3. I would caution that there is no elevator so prepare to use the stairs! The location is great too - to go up or down in Porto!…

Johanna was also lovely and helped answer any questions that we had. The breakfast was delicious and included more than I had expected. The view from our room was beautiful and while we were in a prime location for exploring, it was always quiet in the street. We loved this guesthouse and would recommend it to everyone.…
We really enjoyed our stay in Porto at the Belomonte Guest House. Beautiful hotel and room, clean and smart. Joana in particular and the amazing breakfast are what turn this hotel from good to great. Perfect location - easy to reach the river, port houses and the sights, bars and restaurants of the old town. …
Warm welcome from Ana when we arrived late following a flight delay. Well equipped bedrooms - room 2 has a small balcony with rooftop views towards the Douro river. Both Ana and Joanna were helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and were able to recommend places to eat. The breakfast is a good and includes fruit, bread and home-made jam.…
