First of all, the service and staff was wonderful. The room was beautiful and the view was outstanding. The only negative I found in the room was there wasn't a dresser or any place to put your clothes that don't fit in a closet. But the biggest negative was the constant music coming from the riverside quay. From noon until 10pm we couldn't open our windows or enjoy our balcony because street performers were blasting their badly played music right in front of our room. We could even here the music when we shut the windows. Don't stay here if you don't like to hear bad music all day long!
Always a pleasure when you come across a hotel that is run efficiently by a manager who has the employees always smiling and looking like they really cared about their guests well being. Adriana could not have been more concerned with our well being; always asking if there was anything else we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. The hotel offers a well rounded complimentary breakfast on a terrace overlooking the Duoro river. The suites are spacious with comfortable bedding. We will definitely return
This really is the best location in Porto. The hotel is small, charming and quirky. The rooms are well appointed and very confortable. Ours looked out over the river and our friends room had a wonderful balcony. The area immediately in front of the hotel is full of bars and restaurants. We ate at one of them (Chez Lepin) and the food was very good. The staff is welcoming and accomodating. We will not stay anywhere else when we return to this wonderful part of Portugal, which we are already planning. I recommend that you take the breakfast option for at least oe of the days of your stay. The food is lovely and the breakfast area is welcoming and very pleasant.
Outstanding service & extremely friendly. No road access after 11am so is a little tricky to get to with lots of suitcases as the Taxi drops you up the street and you have to walk down carrying or wheeling all your Bags. On this trip we had 6x Bags between 2 of us, 2x Large suitcases two carry on bags and two backpacks!! Was a wee challenge but we managed. Made it all worth it once we found the Hotel and was greeted by friendly Staff. Our room wasn’t ready so they were more than happy for us to leave our bags and go off exploring. Our room was an Apartment with a wee Balcony with Great town and river views. It had a lounge and Kitchen area with separate Bedroom and Bathroom. One thing that I would say is that the Bathroom lighting is shocking and terrible for a Lady doing her makeup, it’s Very dark. I would come out and do my make-up in the Lounge area where there was a free full standing mirror. When we checked out we had some problems getting our Rental Car driver to come and collect us as there was no road access to the Hotel after 11am. We did not realise this (we thought that the Rental Car would have had access to getting into this street so didn’t appreciate this) and after waiting for ages, the manager/owner came outside to see if we were ok….She explained that we need to go up the street and wait there. She was so helpful she rang the driver and spoke to him as we were having trouble with the language barrier. She then got 2 of her staff as well as herself and took our bags from us and took us to the top of the street and waited with us until the Driver arrived. This was extremely kind of her and we were so very thankful to her and her staff for this otherwise we would still be waiting outside the Hotel!!! I would absolutely recommend this Hotel.…
Very well done up place on the riverfront in Porto. Definitely worth a stay. Only downside is that no help with luggage so be prepared for that. And very importantly take a taxi to reach the hotel when you reach Porto as the road can only be accessed through taxi. Not sure why they don’t tell in advance
